Hippodrome Montecatini hosted Wednesday the classic Grand Premio Montecatini (purse 132,000 euro, 1640 meters autostart) with the 1.11.3kr timed victory earned by Uragano Trebi’ (5gNad Al Sheba-Istria Bi) reined by Roberto Vecchione and trained by Holger Ehlert.
Pacesetter Arazi Boko (11g Varenne-Laura Kemp-Express Ride) held gamely for second driven by Andrea Guzzinati and Pantera del Pino (8f Turno Sund) took third for Rene Legati’. Dijon (5m Ganymede-Sonate d’Aunou) was fourth for Romain Derieux.
A huge crowd was on hand for the major race of the local season.

Monday at Fallonica was the Premio of that name with a 33,000 euro purse and raced over 2200 meters autostart. The 1.11.9kr timed winner was Victor Ferm (4m Nad Al Sheba-Garina du Gasei-Uronometro) reined by Andrea Guzzinati. Voltaire Gifont (4m Quaker Jet) was second for Pietro Gubellini and third went to Venanzo Jet (4m Gruccione Jet) reined by Lorenzo Baldi.
