Uraki des Sarts with Franck Nivard at the lines took Thursday's Criterium de Trot at Lyon-Parilly in France.

The six year-old son of Niky scored for the sixth time in a career that has produced earnings in excess of 265,000e. The winner scored by two lengths in 1.15.7kr over 2850 meters to capture the winners' 45% share of the 35,000e purse, at 3.3/1 odds. Second went to the Jean-Pierre Dubois owned and teamed Udine, a six year-old daughter of Coktail Jet that is trained by Jean Baudron. Third went to Uroi de Nganda, another son of Niky.

Swedishman and trainer/driver Thierry Duvaldestin scored a convincing start to finish win in the Prix de Cauvicourt today at Caen.

The eight year-old gelded son of Gogo scored in a quick 1.11.6kr over 2200 meters autostart, defeating 16 rivals that included veteran Reve de Beylev, Roi du Lupin and Quinoa du Gers, each with lifetime earnings in excess of one million euro. This race was the Quinte+ race of the day with a jackpot of €5.7 million. Swedishman was a dominating force in the 2013 Grand National du Trot and today showed even improved form against a solid field.

The co-featured Prix de Canapuille for €50,000 over 2450 meters went to Vermeil de l’Iton with Tristan de Genouillac aboard. Hughes Levesque trains the winner that defeated 17 rivals in 1.15kr for owner Ecurie de l’Iton at 14/1 odds. Eight contestants stormed out of the fog to reach the line separated by three lengths.
