Harness Racing Owners Gennaro Sposato and Michael Taranto have secured Group 1 success at Tabcorp Park Melton with their emerging young trotter Endsino.
The Andy Gath-trained filly by Angus Hall, named after the final letter of her owners’ surnames, took out tonight's Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series two-year-old final for trotting fillies by 12.3m over Shesa Amazon, with Val Gardena third.
“I’m really looking forward to the future with this filly,” said winning driver Kate Gath after the race.
Gath heaped praise on the owners, who she had been very patient with Endsino.
“They’ve been terrific. They’re so patient, which is a big help,” she said.
“Obviously she’s well-bred but they still have to be able to run.”
Endsino clocked a mile rate of 2:04.7.
