The best harness racing 4-year old trotter in Norway is Viking Frecel, sired by the great Viking Kronos and out of a Super Arnie mare. Viking Frecel has raced 16 times winning 14 races and has earnings of $355,000.
Friday evening he won the Jarlsberg Grand Prix at the Jarlsberg track in Norway with Vidar Hop in the bike. The Jarlsberg Grand Prix is raced with eliminations and a final on the same day over the mile and Viking Frecel won his elimination by open lengths in a new Norwegian record for his age - 1.55.2f. He won the final in 1.58.1f.
Viking Frecel is trained by Jan Kristian Waaler and is considered one of the most talented trotters ever in Norway.
Viking Frecel raced in the Oslo Grand Prix in May but was well beaten.
