Last season's New Zealand Derby winner Vincent was in great form at yesterdays Ashburton workouts.
The Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen trained 4yo was a dominant winner in a five horse race, which including Dom Domingo, Glenferrie Classic, Nek Time and All Stars stable-mate Party On.
Driver Natalie Rasmussen settled the speedy son of Art Major back in the field until moving to the parked out position at the 900m. In the straight Vincent was simply too strong for the opposition winning comfortably without being pushed and beating stablemate Partyon by a half a neck at the line.
Vincent paced the 2400m stand in 3-04.6 with a closing 800m in 55.0 and last 400m in 26.6 seconds.
Natalie Rasmussen said later on the All Stars website, " Vincent was excellent. He will probably have one more hitout before going up on the second truck to Auckland, it just depends on where he is at."
"Partyon was great and heads north on Sunday on the first truck, she said."
