Four year old bay gelding Vladimir the Great NZ - owned by Bankstown Paceway director Neil Costello - is again going for greatness at Sydney's harness racing home, Bankstown Paceway, on M. H. Treuer Memorial Grand Circuit Race Night tonight (Saturday, December 3rd, 2011), as early race favourite in the Nader Jewellers Pace (race 2 on the card).
The champion pacer is named after Vladimir Sviatoslavich the Great – the Grand Prince of Kiev famed for introducing Christianity to the Russian people in 988.
Vladimir the Great, the horse, won the 2011 Phil Engisch Memorial at Bankstown Paceway in November and last Saturday claimed the Mount Eden Final at Tabcorp Park.
