October 28, 2017 – Saturday’s €10,000 purse GP de la Martinique Finale (2600 meters voltstart) raced on the turf at Hippodrome Martinique resulted in a 1.22.5kr victory for Vlatou des Salines (8g Magnificent Rodney-Griffe des Salines) reined by Alexandre Faivre for harness racing owner/trainer Jean Luc Langeron.
The winner has a 5-3-2 slate in 11 starts this year and a good 1.18.2kr fastest win this year taken on April 2 with Matthieu Abrivard driving.
Usly de Visais (9g Defo d’Aunou-Pristina Jet) was second with the aforementioned J.L. Langeron up. He owns and trains this one as well. The useful racehorse now has six wins and two seconds in 10 starts. Titan Pierji (10g Jardy-Kora Pieji) was third for Williams Demurs, the driver for owner/trainer Christophe Morse. Quicky du Drac and Sargent Chef were fourth and fifth.
The undercard GP Consolation (purse €5,000, 2600 meters voltstart) went to 1.25.9kr timed Ubbikay (9g Jam Pridem-La Divina) with Jean Luc Langeron up, also owner/trainer.
