Stefan Melander’s Volstead (5m Cantab Hall-Madame Volo-Yankee Glide) took today’s 1640 meter autostart HKH Prins Daniel V75 Gold (400,000SEK to the winner) clocked in 1.09.8kr (1:52.31 mile rate).

Melander drove the 4.8/1 odds third choice and earned an Elitloppet invitation as a result of the win, his 13th in a career that also shows six seconds in 30 starts for earnings of 2,937,250SEK.

Volstead was bred in the US by Arden Homestead Stable.

Today’s HKH Prins Daniels resulted in the winner Volstead and Magic Tonight to be added to the Elitloppet lineup.
