The first feature night meeting of the season in the Riverina will be held at Wagga on Friday night as the countdown continues to the peak time of the racing year.

Yirribee Stud race night has attracted seven races with $46,000 prizemoney and $20,000 in stallion bonuses on offer.

The feature race is the Ian Walsh Memorial which honors the life of the former Wagga Harness Racing Club president who was also a former partner in Yirribee Stud.

It's the biggest line-up of bonuses Yirribee has offered to five of its nine stallions.

The winner of the Ian Walsh Memorial will not only receive the major share of $8000 prizemoney but a free service to former champion Mr Feelgood valued at close to $5000.

Aqua Luvy is likely to start favorite for the Ian Walsh Memorial from barrier three representing in-form combination Jackson Painting and Blake Jones.

Painting had four winners at the previous Wagga meeting and again has a strong hand.

The field for the Million Dollar Cam Classic also has plenty of quality with last start Menangle winner Lucys Penny opposed to the talented Northern Line and in-form Scottish Glamour and Goforzoe.

Yirribee has also put up services to former star pacers Lanercost ($2970) and Lombo Pocket Watch ($2200) and Little Brown Jug winner, Million Dollar Cam ($3300).

Yirribee, which will stand a record nine stallions this season, has reported a strong response to its stallions particularly since the new bonuses for breeders was announced earlier this month.
