Waylade makes his long awaited Gloucester Park return after his feature event packed summer.
After being one of the pre-series local hopes in the 2015 Inter Dominion, Waylade managed to come home in 7th position in the $1.3m Grand Final. He went on to compete in the Village Kid Sprint (4th), Fremantle Cup (10th) and WA Pacing Cup (8th) before a well-deserved spell.
Trainer Gary Hall Snr has always held a very high opinion of the gelding who will likely be aimed at the 2016 TABtouch Inter Dominion this coming November.
The pacer with lifetime earnings of $316,385 will start from the 2 hole on Friday night and has been unseen at recent trials.
Pacific Warrior will start from his immediate inside, a winner two starts ago at Gloucester Park – driver Nathan Turvey could be inclined to hold up from the inside barrier given Waylade is first up from a 5 month absence.
Elegant Christian and Crusader Banner both have wins next to their names – the latter rating 1:54.4 after leading all the way over 2130m last week.
The Hall stable will bring 12 horses to the track on Friday in search of bettering last week’s performance of 6 wins and 2 placings from 16 engaged runners.
