Ace harness racing reinsman Geoff Webster stole the show with a winning double at Bendigo on Saturday night (March 6). The Bannockburn horseman won consecutive races with Brazilian Monk and Sir Swinger, but in contrasting manner.

Whereas Brazilian Monk ($16.70) used the sprint lane to win the Champions IGA 3YO Cup, Sir Swinger ($1.50 fav.) unleashed a booming run from the rear of the field to capture the Inglewood Cup.

Sir Swinger, who rated 1:58.9, was bred and is raced by Sydneysider Peter Plummer, who also owned the four-year-old's siblings Mister Swinger, Jonell Sullivan and Village Swinger.

Sir Swinger was gotten by Presidential Ball, while Brazilian Monk is a member of McArdle's second crop.

Making his first appearance in the winner's circle, Brazilian Monk is owned by Melbourne businessman John Wolfe, who raced the 2000 Inter Dominion champion Shakamaker.

Webster went within a length of landing a treble when stable entrant Lombo La Shellly ($2.70 fav.) led and was run down in the final event.
