Luck Of Macrea (Lucky Chucky) displayed his skills on Wednesday night as the Margaret Spagnola-trained trotter prevailed in the evening's feature for harness racing New York Sired highsteppers.
The three year old trotter drew post position one for his try in the $10,500 feature and driver Frank Coppola Jr. moved the favorite out to the early lead.
After enjoying a soft first half that went in 1:01, Luck Of Macrea trotted away from his rivals to score in 2:00.4. Keyhole (John Stark Jr), who got the pocket trip behind the winner, was the race's runner up while Royal Conway (Stephane Bouchard) earned the show spot.
Luck Of Macrea, who was the 4-5 betting favorite, is owned by Mike Polansky of Loudonville, NY.
The win was one of three on the card for Frank Coppola Jr. who is second in the local driver standings for the year.
Live racing resumes on Friday night at Saratoga with a 6:45pm first post.
