Last week we lost all but two of our races due to tracks cancelling because of snow storms. Lost both races. We lost $4.00 (based on a $2 win bet each race). We are still in the minus earning column at -$25.60 going into this weekend. Weather looks pretty good this weekend as does my picks. Another big weekend and we will be in the plus column in no time.

Stakes races are done for the year but soon enough they will start up again in no time. This weekend we have a pair of races to check out at Yonkers, Woodbine and the Meadowlands. Good luck!

$37,000 Open Pace Yonkers

6th race Saturday - Two starts back I liked Real Special and he rewarded us at odds of 6-1. Was snowed out last week and now has moved into the top class at Yonkers for the first time. He can handle the hike in class, working out perfect cover from inside post two to strike from.

$34,000 Preferred Pace Woodbine

2nd race Saturday - With two straight wins and last week scoring in this class, Sparky Mark is the go to horse in here. Short field should enable him to be able to work out live cover as in prior starts and he has one strong move that should get him his Third Straight win.

$30,000 Winners Over Pace Yonkers

8th race Saturday - Burke and Brennan are an awesome combo even from the far outside in post eight. Special Forces has been razor sharp at three different tracks last month with four wins in his last five starts, twice from outside posts like this. Can't see why they can't do it again in here.

$28,000 Winners Over Trot Woodbine

5th race Saturday - Super well matched field here. Very difficult to handicap and whoever wins should pay a good price. I am going with Cool Guy from post seven. Has not had an outside post like this in a while but as long as he can leave and get to the front without much trouble he should then be able to wire the field as he has done in the past.

$25,000 A-2/A-1 Handicap Pace Meadowlands

6th race Saturday - Usually one would shy away from a horse that just can't seem to win but not me. Despite finishing second last three starts, all by a head, neck or nose, Bakin On the Beach has been super tough with just some bad luck. He has the speed to turn that all around in here, especially getting to start from a decent inside post.

$20,000 B-1/A-2 Handicap Pace Meadowlands

5th race Saturday - With switching over from Yonkers to the Meadowlands, Cowboy Terrier should be able to handle the change in track from half mile to mile. Just based on his last two wins at Yonkers he may well be able to go right to the front here and wire the field. Seems to like being put on the front end.
