We did not do great last week with three out of seven winners on top and some minor exacta and trifecta payoffs. This week we cover five different tracks Friday and Saturday with the Meadowlands, Yonkers, Woodbine, Pompano and Saratoga in the spotlight. GOOD LUCK!

$30,000 A/1-FFA Handicap Trot Meadowlands

6th race FRIDAY – Super well matched field and thus I have to go with the handicapped horses. Twin B Spike Man was able to handle a big hike in class last start to win the top trot on the front end for his second straight triumph. He showed true grit working his way to the front and not giving up the lead in 1:51.1 mile. Faces similar tough field again but has been very sharp this year. Use DW’s NY Yank and Modern Family in exotic plays.

$33,000 F&M Open Handicap Pace Yonkers

6th race FRIDAY – While no super favorite in this field you need to look for someone to emerge from the group. I am going with Ramalama who despite finishing off the board in her last two starts in this class she now is coming off a week’s rest and in her last win showed she can grind it out if necessary and can return to winning ways. Use Swinging Beauty and Royal Cee Cee N in exotic plays.

$33,000 Open Handicap Trot Yonkers

8th race FRIDAY – Despite the morning line odds I think that Tober can be much the best in here again. Last start he posted his fourth straight win as he moved into the top class at Yonkers and won by a neck. He can race well from on and off the pace and outside post is his only fault in this field. Took a week off which can only help. Use Backstreet Hanover and Super Manning in exotic plays.

$10,000 Open Pace Pompano Park

1st race SATURDAY – This could be the last easy start for Prairie Jaguar at Pompano Park before he ships up north to race against much tougher competition. Currently on a nine-race winning streak but does face two new rivals in Premier and Legal Dream but should handle this field with ease once again. Use Cruizin K C and Northern Companion in exotic plays.

$34,000 Preferred Pace Woodbine

2nd race SATURDAY - It’s the return once again of Apprentice Hanover. He is going for his ninth straight win at Woodbine and in his last start he romped by five open lengths in 1:51.1, his fastest winning time this  year. He is too good to be true as he just bowls over the competition from either on or off the pace. Use In commando and Wazzup Wazzup in exotic plays.

 $30,000 A-1/FFA Handicap Pace Meadowlands

2nd race SATURDAY – It’s a short field for big bucks but the competition should be sharp once again. Last week Golden Receiver has his bridle snatched from him by Dovuto Hanover but I do not see that happening two straight weeks. Golden Receiver is the class of the field with $2.1 million in career earnings and I see him going to the front and not getting caught this week. Use Allstar Legend and Dovuto Hanover in exotic plays.

$17,000 Open Handicap Pace Saratoga

9th race SATURDAY – Saratoga makes the scene as they have just opened for the 2014 season and have a sharp Open tonight. I am going with Pan From Nantucket who ships in from Yonkers. Has been facing tougher and despite outside post I see him working out some live cover or maybe even surprising the field by trying to cut the mile. Either way he should be able to grind out a win in here. Use Sparky Mark and Sand Summerfield in exotic plays.
