Washington, PA --- In a sharp tune-up for Saturday’s Breeders Crown Mare Trot Elimination, Win Missy B matched The Meadows track record of 1:53.2 in capturing Wednesday’s $18,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred, but she had to work hard late to do it.

Following a sizzling :26.4 first quarter, Win Missy B opened a daylight lead before the pocket-sitting Victory Is Coming rallied in the lane. Win Missy B responded to Dick Stillings’ urging and downed Victory Is Coming by a nose, with Trotslikethewind third. The time matched the mark for 4-year-old mares established last year by Firstclassprincess.

A career earner of nearly $1.6 million, Win Missy B struggled for most of 2013 but has put together three straight victories. Rich Gillock trains the daughter of Conway Hall--Winning Missbrenda for owner/breeder Bob Key. When she wheels back in three days, Win Missy B will leave from post five in the second division of the Mare Trot Eliminations at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Brett Miller drove four winners on the 15-race card while Stillings and Gillock each fashioned a triple.
