A feature of the catalogue for the Tasmania Premier Yearling Sale to be held on Friday, February 14 at the Inveresk Showground, Launceston is the high percentage of winning and winner-producing dams represented in the sale.
Seventy percent of the 39 lots are out of race-winning dams, while 40 percent are from winner-producers.
The catalogue includes yearlings out of several Group winners highlighted by an Art Major colt out of the Vicbred 2YO champion and Tasmania Oaks winner Shez Ryleymak 1:56.2 ($270,688).
Other Group or classic winners include the Evicus winners Cam River and Mon Poppy Mary, the Australian Pacing Gold champion Laconic, the Granny Smith victor Cullens Angel (1:54.8), the Belmont winners Thabela Brioso and El Jays Belle, Pennys Dragon (Matron Stakes) and Whata Dragon (Fillies Bracelet).
The 39 dams represented have left 35 winners between them including the Victoria Youthful winner Abbreviated, Cat Bay (Globe Derby Stakes), Cullens Angel (Granny Smith), the Tasmanian Sales Classic winners Daisy Adele, Black Centurian, Prisoner and Laconic Jamane, El Jays Belle (Belmont), Cruisin Fella 1:56.6 (Melb.) and Melolyn (1:57.3).
