All that is left of Beaumont Racecourse is the Tote Building

Allan and Catherine Wood of Mosgiel have had quite an exciting career when it comes to harness racing.

Over the course of their years together, the Wood's have bred and raced Standardbred pacers, have worked in racing administration, were farmers and most importantly, they owned the Beaumont Racecourse for 37 years.

Now a dairy farm and the racecourse plowed under for growing crops, there is the still the Tote Room House located in the center of the field as a reminder of what was once an exciting venue every year.
