LEBANON, OH. – Workinitonbroadway (Chris Page) pulled a mild harness racing upset in the first $20,000 Open Trot of the 2021 Miami Valley meet on Tuesday (Jan. 5) afternoon.
The five-year-old altered son of Broadway Hall moved to the top just past the :28.3 opening quarter and fronted the field the remainder of the way.
Annas Lucky Star (Brett Miller) rallied in the stretch to finish second while Swan Chase (Trace Tetrick) rallied from far back to grab show honors.
The winner is owned by Burke Racing and Weaver-Bruscemi and increased his earning to $179,562 with his 16th lifetime triumph.
Driver Trace Tetrick had a hot hand again, scoring four more victories to give him the dash derby lead with eleven over the first three programs of the new meet.
Chris Page scored a hat trick on the Tuesday program.
Racing resumes at Miami Valley with a 14-race twilight program on Friday (Jan. 8) featuring six divisions of the "Claim To Fame" series for $12,500 male pacers and three splits for $20,000 claiming mares. Post time is 4:05 p.m.
