The Belgium owned campaigner defeated 9/1 Vanychof (6m Offshore Dream-Marychaille) with Michel Lenoir the trainer/driver and third place 12/1 Va Vole du Lys (6f Oiseau de Feux-Nostalgie du Lys) with J-M Bazire at the lines.
The Prix Sappho (€52,000, 2700 meters, nine starters) this night went to 1.15.8kr winner Begum Fromento (4f Meaulnes du Corta-Orminda), the 9/10 favorite with Thomas Levesque up for trainer Mike Lenders and EcuriePierre Levesque. 10/1 Bienvenue du Gers (4mQuinoa du Gers-La Chasse Verte) was second for J-M Bazire driving for trainer Fabrice Souloy and third went to Blue Island (4m Jain de Beval-Quarda du Rib) for Franck Nivard, trainer Dominik Locqueneux and owner Ecurie des Charmes.
Julien Dubois teamed .5/1favorite Unbridled Charm (7m Password-Intense Action) to a 1.13.8kr win in the Prix Hygica (€48,000 purse, 2850 meters, 16 European participants) for trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams. 9/1 Tina Vivanciere (8f Hermes Perrine-Giga Query) ended second for David Thomain with third to Oro Fks (7m Uronometro-Fuschin America) at 25/1 for Roberto Andreghetti, trainer Fabrice Souloy and Italian owner Stephano Bernardi.
The Paris-Vincennes’ Prix Echo (€37,000 purse, 2850 meters, 12 starters) was clocked in 1.17.6kr by the winner Capone Face (3m Ready Cash-Kingly Pride) for driver Pierre Vercruysse, trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Antonio de Sousa. Capone Face was off at 3.7/1 odds as he defeated 3/2 favorite Chilkoot Trail (3m Ready Cash-Pulp Fiction) and Franck Nivard. Third went to 4.8/1 Cedar Keryvon (3m Offshore Dream-Rafale Castelets) with Eric Raffin up for trainer/owner Ake Kristoffersson. The first two finishers represent their dam’s initial Ready Cash foals. Kingly Pride, dam of the winner, is by Defi d’Aunou from Elitloppa by Kimberland , a son of Nevele Pride, and she has a 1:57.5 mile rate record and earnings of US$202,037.
At Avenches, the Prix de Bastia Suisse (purse €8,326, 2400 meters autostart, 7 starters) went to Top Boy (8m Jag de Bellouet-My Lovely Girl) off at 5.1/1 handled by Adrian Burger. Favored at 7/10 the Mme. Valerie Henry driven Pluto de Vivier (12g Extreme Dream-Iguine du Vivier) was second for trainer Marc-Andre Bovay. The days’ top coldblood event was the Roger N. Olssons Minnieslopp at Hagmyren and the win went to the great mare Jannem Silje (5f Asajerven-Lannem Sjure) bred in Norway and reined by Tor Willebaek. The 2140 meter distance handicap event was clocked in 1.23kr and the winner earned 100,000SEK. Lannem Silje now has a career slate of 36-2-1 in 39 starts for 5,988,558SEK earned. In 2015 she is 8-1-1- in 10 appearances.
Back in France, at Le Cepiere, the Grand Prix Dynavera Maissagri Duran (€45,000 purse, 2950 meters, 12 European starters) was won by Vaisman (6m Memphis du Rib-Iula du Douetil) with owner/trainer/driver Franck Anne aboard. The even-money favorite was clocked in 1.15.3kr to defeat 9/2 odds Ricimer (10m Hermes du Buisson-Gyka de la Chaise) and owner/trainer/driver Herve Soinneau. 5/1 Uno de Montauran (7m Sancho Panca-Nijinskaya) was third.
