Cowgirl Hall lulled the field with a sleepy 57.4 opening half, then sprinted home to collect her fifth consecutive victory in Monday's $18,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at the harness racing meeting at The Meadows.
Once Cowgirl Hall put together opening panels of 28/57.4 for Dave Palone, she was uncatchable — even by the pocket-sitting Tamarind, who fell 3/4 lengths short.
Tall Cotton rallied from last for show. The winning time was 1:54.
Ron Burke trains Cowgirl Hall, a 6-year-old daughter of Cash Hall-Centerfold Hall who triumphed for the 25th time over the past two seasons and extended her career bankroll to $781,428, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Jack Piatt III and Michael Rosenthal.
It was one of Palone's five wins — including three for Burke — on the 14-race card.
