WASHINGTON, PA, May 21, 2014 -- Daylon Miracle overpowered the field in Wednesday's $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows, notching her second straight victory and ninth in 16 starts this year.

Daylon Miracle had to fight three wide for the early lead, but when Aaron Merriman gave her a 29 second-quarter breather, she was home free, scoring in 1:53.4.

The pocket-sitting Mistress Valentine was a length back in second while Unefoisdansmavie earned show. Bill Bercury trains and owns the 5-year-old daughter of Pegasus Spur-Daylon Marvel, who now boasts $345,787 in career earnings.

Dave Palone drove four winners and Merriman three on the 14-race card.
