WASHINGTON, PA, Sept. 6, 2017 -- Shuffled to fifth into the final turn, Goodtogo Hanover swung wide and powered through the lane to capture Wednesday's $15,000 harness racing filly & mare winners over $10,000 Life Trot at The Meadows.
After dueling for the early lead, Goodtogo Hanover settled into third for Brian Zendt but had no hope of finding a seam or the Lightning Lane late. When Zendt showed the 4-year-old daughter of Explosive Matter-Grammy Hall a clear path, she caught the rallying Fawn De Savage and downed her by head in 1:55, with early leader Classical Annie third.
Phillip Zendt trains Goodtogo Hanover, who extended her career bankroll to $229,457, for Gary Saul.
Live racing at The Meadows continues with a special holiday-week Thursday card, first post 1:05 PM.
