WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 8, 2017 — Lady's Dude stretched his winning streak to three Wednesday at The Meadows with a front-end harness racing victory in the $18,000 Preferred Handicap Trot.
Lady's Dude zipped to the front from post 6 and easily repelled the first-over bid of his stablemate, Call For Justice. The pocket-sitting Classicality posed a more serious threat in the Lightning Lane, but Lady's Dude responded to the urging of Tony Hall and downed Classicality by 1/2 length in 1:54.3. Trustworthy Kid rallied for show.
Ron Burke trains Lady's Dude, a 6-year-old Victory Sam-Lady's Star gelding who won for the 12th time this year and boosted his lifetime bankroll to $621,998, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder.
Mike Wilder collected four wins on the 12-race card while Dave Palone and Burke each fashioned a three-bagger.
