WASHINGTON, PA, June 6, 2016 — Medusa coasted to her second straight victory Monday at The Meadows when she cut a comfortable 56.1 first half and scored in 1:50.3 in the $18,000 harness racing filly & mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace.
With the field reduced to five by a scratch, Medusa and Tony Hall felt no pressure until Spreester challenged first up past the three-quarters. By then, the 5-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight-Mythical had the mile well in hand, as she held off Set Me Up in the Lightning Lane by a length. Spreester finished third.
Randy Bendis trains Medusa, who vaulted over $300,000 in lifetime earnings, and owns with Tom Pollack.
