The Ontario Sires Stakes hit Hanover for the first time this season and fans are in for a celebration. OSS Spokesperson Jackie Warner says she will be bringing 300 T Shirts to give away, as well as some OSS hats for people who enter the Survivor Handicapping Contest at the track. Warner also says in celebration of the OSS 40th birthday, she will also be bringing some baked treats for fans who stick around until the later races.

Six divisions of 3 year old Colt Trotters will hit the track as part of the 10 race card, including over 20 horses who are eligible for the Dream of Glory Eliminations which start on July 26th. GM Gord Dougan says its a great chance for local fans to come see some of the best Grassroots trotters Ontario has to offer, and racing fans will get a good idea on some of the Dream of Glory eligibles who will be making their first start on the Hanover track.

The Hanover program includes a Survivor Ballot where fans are asked to pick 4 horses in races 5-8 who they think will finish in the money. If fans are correct they will earn an entry into the Survivor final on August 9th. Dougan says the last survivor on the final night will win a Giant High Definition televison courtsey of Country 93 radio.

its also Ladies night at the track tonight as ladies can enter to win one of several prizes courtesy of The Flower Shoppe and Greenhouses in Hanover, My Scissors and I, and Hanover Raceway.

Post time is 7:15pm tonight.
