The non-wagering card opened with the trotting fillies going to the gate. The rivalry between Star Rose (You Betcha) and Rock The Game continues in their second season, with Star Rose victorious in this week’s harness racing action in 2:01.1. The result of the final next week is anyone’s guess. Ray Robinson Jr. drove the winner for lessee T & J Stables LLC. and trainer Timothy Martin.
Speed It (Cam’s Rocket) is proving to be the one to beat in the trotting colts/geldings winning his second prelim in 2:03.4 for reinsman Jim Morand. Richard Hans owns, bred and trains Speed It. Righteous Renegade was up for second.
Fastestgirlaround (Dontloseyourdayjob) stopped the timer in 1:59 for the second week in a row over Evergreen Silky in the pacing filly division. Gloria Kinnamon co-owns with trainer Brian Callahan, Frank Milby was in the bike.
The pacing colt/geldings finished the prelims with Steal N Go (Bonnie And Clyde) sweeping the prelims. Jeff Fout drives and trains the gelding for owner/breeder Winbak Farms. Toms Tae Kwon Do finished second in the 2:01.3 mile.
The Maryland Sire Stakes action continues on Sunday July 24th with the 2 Year Old Finals in the first series.
