Tamarind made it two straight in the top trot at the harness racing meeting at The Meadows with another first-over victory in Monday’s $18,000 Preferred Handicap.
Tamarind was sitting fourth down the backside when Aaron Merriman sent him after the leader, Tall Cotton.
Much as he did last week, the 7-year-old son of Angus Hall Spicegirl Kosmos wore down Tall Cotton and defeated him by a length in 1:52.3, a tick off the track record for older horses.
Trustworthy Kid finished third.
Bill Bercury owns and trains Tamarind, who now boasts $656,044 in career earnings.
Tony Hall piloted four winners on the 14-race card.
