WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 18, 2016 — Set Me Up enjoyed a pocket trip, then poured through the Lightning Lane to capture Monday’s $20,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Sent off the 6-5 favorite, Set Me Up grabbed the early lead for Dave Palone but released Hidden Land approaching the quarter. The 7-year-old daughter of Shark Gesture-Moccasin Flight was fresher in the lane, downing Hidden Land by 1/2 length in 1:54 over a “good” surface. Spreester rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains Set Me Up, who triumphed for the third time in her last five starts and extended her career bankroll to $364,380, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Eric Ledford and Palone each piloted three winners on the 15-race card.

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 18, 2016 -- On Tuesday, Jan. 19, the live card at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will feature two total-pool guarantees -- a $5,000 guarantee for the Pick 5 and a $5,000 guarantee for the Pick 4. Both are offered as part of the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Initiative.

While The Meadows offers a $5,000 Pick 4 guarantee each card, the track added the "instant" Pick 5 guarantee after Monday's Pick 5 was uncovered, resulting in a two-day carryover of $1,648.84.

Minimum wager for the Pick 4 (races 4-7) and Pick 5 (races 11-15) is 50 cents. Since Pennsylvania law requires a minimum per-race wager of $2, a player wagering at the 50-cent level must bet at least four tickets.

First post for Tuesday's program is 12:55 PM.
