MANALAPAN, NJ – January 20, 2014 – The $46,500 Super Bowl Final for trotters will highlight the special Wednesday night card at the Meadowlands, before it goes into lockdown mode for the football Super Bowl.
Live racing returns Thursday, February 6 while the track will be open for simulcasting through Sunday January 26.
The facility will be totally closed from Monday, January 27 through Monday, February 3. Simulcasting will resume on Tuesday, February 4.
New Jersey-sired Time To Quit by Chocolatier brings a four-race winning streak into the Super Bowl Final for three and four-year-olds, the sixth race on the 11-race program on January 22, 2014.
The Ron Burke trainee, coupled in the wagering with Cocotier, also by Chocolatier, is rated 2-1 in the morning line and will be handled by Yannick Gingras.
This year, Time To Quit won both of his starts, preliminary legs of the Super Bowl. He now has six wins, one second and two thirds from 17 career starts for earnings of $31,330.
