In an effort to help horsemen prepare for the upcoming Hawthorne summer meet Harness Racing Secretary Pete Hanley has announced that Hawthorne will host a "second round" of qualifiers this week which be conducted on Saturday, May 7th, prior to the start of the regular Saturday night program.
The qualifiers will get underway at 4:30 p.m. with the live card getting started at 7:20 p.m.
Entries will be accepted until 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6th for the Saturday qualifiers.
Drivers participating in qualifiers are reminded that training suits or colors are mandatory for all qualifying sessions.
Hawthorne will host live racing on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th this week. Post time will be 7:20 p.m. each night.
There will be no live racing on Sunday, May 8th. Hawthorne will then begin its four night a week schedule (Thur-Sun) starting on Thursday, May 12th.
