Ronald Dixon's Ken Kam (Tony Morgan, $9) ended his half-mile racetrack hiatus and was a 1:52.2 winner in the $12,500 Open II feature at Harrington Raceway Monday.
Trained by Dixon, Ken Kam,a 6-year-old ridgling sired by Cancun Hanover, overpowered pacesetter SB Mikes Hot Beach and held off a cavalry charge to the wire for a narrow win over Leyden and Special T Rocks.
Trained by his owner, Ken Kam is the richest son of his sire Cancun Hanover, who won the Harrington Handicap, the track's former signature race in 2003.
Ken Kam has not raced at Harrington or any half-mile racetrack since his sophomore season in 2012.
Montrell Teague, George Dennis, Allan Davis and Pat Berry each had a driving double.
