LEBANON, OH. – Exactly 100 golfers teed off Monday afternoon in a horsemen's outing co-sponsored by the Ohio Harness Horsemens Association and Miami Valley Raceway.
Despite temperatures in the 50's the sun shone brightly at Majestic Springs Golf Course in Wilmington and a good time was had by all.
Another 25 non-golfers joined the group for a pavilion cookout following the shotgun start "scramble" format round of golf.
The foursome of A. J. Carlo, Brandon Piquet, Sharif Cunmulaj and Derrick Leaf shot ten-under-par 61 to claim first prize, surviving a scorecard playoff over the second place team of Ken Holliday, Randy Massey, Christopher Burt and Steve Asher, who also shot 61.Third place with a score of 62 was the team of Chris Hinchcliff, Adam Beatty, Charlie Neff and Bobby Frasier.
