East Rutherford, NJ – Spring has finally arrived in the Northeast and brought with it the highly anticipated influx of sophomores preparing for stakes season. The Meadowlands Saturday night card reflects both the seasonal and content evolution with temperatures forecast to be in the 70's and four of the thirteen races restricted to three-year-olds.
A brand new offering is the "Spring Preview", a two week series for green three-year-olds to be used as a launching pad for the fast approaching stakes season. Though only the Non Winners of 1 pacing colts attracted enough entries to split, several other were served with a single division and will give fans and horseplayers alike some new faces to consider.
The Whata Baron series begins Saturday sending a pair of $22,500 divisions post ward on their way to the $55,000 final on Derby Day.
Post time on Saturday at The Meadowlands is 7:15pm.
