FLAIR strips support nasal passageways, helping horses get the oxygen they need while expending less energy. Because a horse can only breathe through its nose, breathing takes a great deal of work and energy. The springs embedded in the FLAIR strips minimize the collapse of nasal passages so horses work less to get air, use less energy, and conserve oxygen. Shortened Recovery Time Clinical tests have shown that horses wearing the FLAIR strip used 5 to 8 percent less energy at high speed and during recovery. Trainers have noticed that their horses are more relaxed, look fresher, and catch their breath faster after heavy exercise. Reduced Lung Stress and Bleeding Every horse experiences exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH) -- bleeding in the lungs -- during stressful exercise, though blood may not be visible. Clinical tests have shown a significant reduction (10 fold) in the amount of bleeding when a horse wears a FLAIR strip back to topPlease click the contact us link to the left to get in touch with us.
