Bacardi Lindy is a son of the outstanding sire S J's Photo, and the first foal of the Valley Victory mare Rum Boogie tr, 3, 1.55 ($900,908) a multiple stake and classic winning mare who was voted USTA TWO YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLY OF THE YEAR.
Her worth as a broodmare was proven when her 2006 foal by Cantab Hall was sold at the Harrisburg sale for $170,000. Bacardi Lindy was a sale topper himself when he sold for $115,000 at the 2004 Tattersalls Yearling Sale in Kentucky.
Bacardi Lindy was a standout three year old, claiming his seasons record of 1.53.6 at the Red Mile when winning the famed Blue Grass Stakes. He also won the Townsend Akerman Stakes at the Meadowlands in 1.54.8. He was a dual Pennsylvania Sires Stakes winner, including, after being parked out for the first quarter in 28.4 at the 5/8th Meadows track, he then proceeded to lead every step of the way en route to an easy victory in 1.55.
Bacardi Lindy at 4 years improved his record to 1.52.8 at the Meadowlands (beating a classy field). During a short career Bacardi Lindy beat the best, including Vivid Photo (tr 1.50.4, $2,846,708) and Blue Mac Lad (tr 1.53.2) recording 8 wins for $207,546 in stake money.
