August 22, 2020 Cagnes-sur-Mer - Vivid Wise As (6m Yankee Glide-Temple Blue Chip) captured today’s harness racing International Grand Prix du Department des Alpes (purse 130,000€, 1609 meters autostart, part of the FR Challenge du Vitesse) at Cagnes-sur-Mer. Off as 1.4/1 odds second choice, the Alessandro Gocciadoro trained and reined stalwart was placed in the death seat throughout before charging past mid-stretch for a widening two length victory. Race time was 1.09.8kr (mile 1:52.33). This was Vivid’s fifth win in France from 16 starts and his life earnings reached 953,928€. He is owned by Scuderia Bivans Srl and has won three straight since reuniting with Gocciadoro in June from the Goop stable in Sweden. The Grand Prix Societa Terme Filly – Memorial Vivaldo Baldi (purse 50,050€, 2040 meters autostart, three year old females) saw Banirussa Jet (3f Pine Chip-Nagasaki Jet) scored in 1.14.3kr for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro. She defeated stablemate Bahamia (3f Maharajah-Nambia) with Federico Esposito teaming for Gocciadoro some three lengths back second. Buena Sverte Bi (3f Yankee Glide-No Its Here) was third with V.P. Dell’Annunziata the pilot for trainer Tiberio Cecere. Babirussa Jet The male division of the GP Societa Terme Mem. Arazi Boko (13g Varenne-Laura Kemp-Express Ride) continued his storied career with a victory in the Gran Premio Riccardo Grassi (purse 50,050€, 1660 meters autostart, 12 starters) on the Cesena 800 meter oval in Italy. He was timed in 1.11.9kr and reined by trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. His fifth dam is the legendary Stenographer. Alessandro Gocciadoro has returned home to Italy and he and his team is hot. From July 5-14 his trainees won seven major races, all but one being three and four year olds. The run started on July 5 at Ippodromo San Paolo Montegiorgio with the Gr. III GP Marche Femine Livia (purse 50,050€, 1600 meters autostart, three year old females) and Bahamia (3f Maharajah-Nimibia-Cantab Hall) scored for trainer/driver Gocciadoro timed in 1.12.3kr. She easily defeated Bica DL (3f Zola Boko) and Bananaramc Jet (3f Ken Warkentin). The male division called the GP Marche Maschi Martini (Gr. III, purse 50,050€, 1600 meters autostart, three year old males) saw Boys Stecca (3m Napoleon Bar-Ambretta Bar-Ganymede) score in 1.12.9kr with Gocciadoro at the lines. Belzebu’ Jet (3m Wishing Stone) and Bleff Dipa (3m Mister JP) took the second and third checks. On July 11 the streak continued at Ippodromo di Cesena in the Citta di Cesena Filly (Gr. I Gran Premio Gaetano Turilli at Roma Capannelle (purse 180,180€, 2100 meters autostart, four-year olds and up) clocked in 1.13.9kr. This Alessandro Gocciadoro trained and reined campaigner sat the pocket and rallied to a close victory in the lane over pacesetter Zacon Gio (5m Ruty Grif-May Glide Font SM-Yankee Glide) with Roberto Vecchione up for trainer Holger Ehlert. The Grand Criterium de Vitesse Nice-Matin (Gr. I, UET Masters Series, purse 170,000€, 11 starters) today at Cagnes sur Mer was raced with video, with wagering and with fans and the 1.8/1 favorite Vivid Wise As (6m Yankee Glide-Temple Blue Chip) scored, timed in 1.09.7kr (1:52.16) for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro. Scuderia Bivans Srl owns the now four-time winner in France and his life earnings reached 774,636€. The race time was well off the 1.08.9kr race record jointly held by Readly Express and Bold Eagle. The 4.5/1 Earl Simon (6m Prodigious-Tindrama) was second with Franck Ouvrie up for trainer Jarmo Niskanen and Ecurie Skyttem. 12/1 Billie de Montfort (9f Jasmin de Flore) rallied late for third after being trapped on the pegs with Gabriele Gelormini up. The 9/2 Delia du Pommereux (7f Niky) was fourth and 6.4/1 Looking Superb finished fifth ahead of the other two check earners Uza Josselyn and Bahia Quesnot. November 23, 2019 - Volnik du Kras (5m Varenne-Oljka su Kras-Park Avenue Joe) took the harness racing 40,040€ purse, 1609 meters autostart, PR Citta di Treviso in Italy, timed in 1.11.9kr and reined by his trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. He moved first up the then leading Sonia (8f Donato Hanover-Ele Code-Uronometro) with Rene Legati up, putting that rival away and drawing clear to a two-length victory. Vivid Wise As (5m Yankee Glide-Temple Blue Chip), off at 22/1, rallied late to win this evening’s Gr. II International UET Masters Series Grand Prix du Department des Alpes-Maritimes at Cagnes sur Mer (purse 150,000€, 1609 meters autostart, nine starters after the scratch of Tessy d’Ete), the fourth leg of the Challenge Vitesse series of mile sprints in France. Alessandro Gocciadoro trains and teamed the winner that was clocked in 1.08.6kr (mile race 1:50.39). The victory moved Vivid Wise As’ career earnings to 512,336€. The 11/1 Bahia Quesnot (8f Scipion du Goutier-Queen Ines) held second for trainer/driver Junior Guelpa after taking the lead mid-stretch. Then 69/1 Desir Castelets (6m Quaker Jet-Ophelia Jet) took third with David Bekaert aboard for trainer Luc Roelens, 1.8/1 Drole de Jet (6m Coktail Jet-Likely Jet)  set the pace after gaining the front in the first turn for trainer/driver Pierre Vercruysse and ended fourth, nosing out fifth finishing 4.7/1 Valokaja Hindo (8m Great Challenger-Hindo Enghave) handled by Christophe Martens for trainer J-M Bazire. Romanesque was sixth. The even-money favorite Bel Avis was a dq for interference, reined by trainer Bazire. The race time lowered the previous record set in 2011 by Commander Crowe. The Alessandro Gocciadoro trained and reined pupil was timed in 1.12.8kr after Alrajah One set the pace for Enrico Bellei, only to be off the board. Amon You SM (3m Love You-Emon Sante Fe’SM-Lemon Dra) was second with Antoni0p Greppi at the lines and Antony Leone (3m Libeccio Grif-Gasping Ferm-Lemon Dra) was third. On Sunday May 19 two classic races took place at Modena’s Ippodromo Ghirlandina.   The fillies first battled in the 88,000€ purse Premio Unione Europeo Filly (1600 meters autostart, 13 starters) with the 1.11.9kr timed harness racing victory earned by Zaniah Bi (4f Equinox Bi-Fendi Bi-Sugarcane Hanover) reined by Alessandro Gocciadoro to her seventh career victory in 22 appearances.   She sat the pocket until the final bend when she zoomed to the front and secured a four-length score over Zabriskie OK (4f Conway Hall- Georgia Pines-Pine Chip) with Bjorn Goop aboard.   Third was Zealand As (4f Donato Hanover-Fortune As- Tenor de Baune) with Rene Legati up.   The male adversaries contested the 407,000€ purse Premio Unione Europea (2080 meters, 13 starters) and it was a battle between pacesetter Zacon Gio (4m Ruty Grif-May Glade Font SM-Yankee Glide) piloted by Roberto Vecchione and timed in 1.11.2kr. Zacon Gio won for 18 th time in 28 lifetime starts. His sire is a son of Varenne. Second finishing was Face Time Bourbon (4m Ready Cash-Vita Bourbon-Love You) with Bjorn Goop up for trainer Sebastien Guarato, timed the same as the winner. Face Time was away fourth and moved first up and within a half-length of the leader entering the final turn. Then Zacon Gio pulled away to a three- length advantage. Late in the lane Zacon tired under heavy urging from Vecchione and Face Time pulled back to within a quarter-length at the wire. Third was Zidane Grif (4m Ready Cash-Taffeta’Grif-Varenne) handled by G.P. Minnucci. Zlatan (4m Napoleon Bar) was fourth.    

Veteran Arazi Boko (12g Varenne-Laura Kemp-Express Ride) scored for harness racing trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro in the Modena Italy featured Pr. Renza Orlandi (purse 40,040€, 1600 meters autostart) clocked in a swift 1.11.7kr. The open lengths winner left from post one, surrendered the lead and quickly went back to the front and the race was essentially over. He opened lengths around the final bend and scored easily over Venanzo Jet (5m Gruccione Jet-Liza-Indro Park) handled by Lorenzo Baldi and Victor Chuc SM (5m CC’s Chuckie T-Conversa SM-Lemon Dra). He was a start to finish winner timed in 1.13.9kr off modest fractions. This 1/5 odds favorite is owned and trained by Philippe Allaire and he record career victory 16 in 41 starts for 1,175,410€ earned. Traders won the 2018 Prix du Cornulier and is reportedly headed to that event again in late January. The 8.1/1 Dexter Fromentro (5m Qwerty-Princesse d’Ombree) was second for Camille Levesque and owner Ecurie Pierre Levesque. 10/1 Cassate (6f Neoh Jiel-Quiva du Rib) was a distant third.
