The Last Laugh (Western Terror) bested the top mares at Saratoga Casino and Raceway in Thursday’s $19,260 Open for fillies and mares. The Amber Buter trained filly made her local debut in the feature last week when she had her lengthy win streak snapped as the odds-on favorite. Even in defeat, The Last Laugh put in a strong showing while a second place finisher in that one. This week, though, the filly got it right and outclosed her rivals in the stretch to record the feature score in 1:54.1. Tyler Buter piloted The Last Laugh to what was her eleventh win in thirteen seasonal tries. Artsy Princess (Shawn Gray) was the runner up on Thursday while Momma Rock (Billy Dobson) earned the show spot. The Last Laugh was the public’s even money favorite.
