May 21, 2017 - Uniflosa Bella (9f Jag de Ballouet-Koctiflosa Gede) took Sunday’s 5th Leg of the Trophee Vert, this one at Niort, in France in the form of the Prix du Credit Mutuel (purse €45,000, 3575 meters distance handicap, turf course). The 1.17.9kr timed winner was reined by Antoine Wiels and overcame a 50 meter penalty for owner/trainer J-P Marmion. The winning mare secured her 22nd career win now for €545,690 earned. 50 meter handicapped Tresor Wic (10m Jag de Bellouet-Epona Vinn) was second for pilot Florian Joseph and trainer Laurent Simon. 25 meter penalized Bingo d’Attacques (6m Pomerol de Lauman-Lady de la Roche) was home third for reinsman Gabriel Gelormini. February 22, 2017 - Caprice de Lupin (5g Chaillot-Nadege Francerie) scored a 1.14.7kr victory in today’s Prix de Noir Moutier (purse €80,000, 2875 meters, 12 starters) at Enghien. The 2.7/1 odds winner was reined by Antoine Wiels for breeder/owner/trainer J-P Marmion. 1.2/1 favorite Classic Haufor (5m Jag de Bellouet-Glamour d’Haufor) was second for breeder/owner/trainer Christian Bigeon and 11.3/1 Copernic de Play (5g Giant Cat-Orelie de Play) took third for owner/trainer/driver Franck Blandin. The final engaged horses for Sunday’s Gr. I Grand Prix de Paris numbers 13 including Bold Eagle, seeking the Triple Crown title in France. Lionel and Bolina Josselyn are likely to be the significant obstacles. November 23, 2015 - Today’s Quinte+ (jackpot €3.2 million) was the Prix de Meslay du Maine (purse €58,000, 2700 meters, 18 starters) at Paris-Vincennes and the 1.13.7kr winner was 4.3/1 Unero Montaval (7g Nem-Herroine du Loir) handled by David Thomain. 6/1 Uvinito (7g Invar-Nivanito) was second for owner/trainer/driver Christian Boisnard with 4.8/1 Urasi de la Vallee (7g Onyx du Goutier-La Vallee) to the line third for trainer/driver Sebastien Ernault. The monte Gr. II Prix Edmond Henry (purse €120,000, 2700 meters, 10 starters) went to the 1.14.6kr clocked winner Americaine (5f Chef du Chatolet-Marine Raudiere) at 5/1 odds. This J-P Marmion trainee raced barefoot for jockey Antoine Wiels. Favorite 1.1/1 Moving On (6f Quite Easy-Kings Blondie) was second for Franck Nivard, trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Ecurie IC Equine AB. 9/1 Rue du Bac (5m Infinitif-Ici) was third for David Thomain. May 25, 2015 - On a relatively quiet day in France harness racing drivers Romain Derieux and Antoine Wiels each celebrated a triple-win day. Derieux piloted Yankee’s Photo (7m SJ’s Photo-Yankee Trader) to victory in Reims’ Grand Prix Champagne Maurice Philippart (€32,000 purse, 2575 meters distance handicapped, 14 European starters) clocked in 1.14.1kr over the standard distance. The 2.2/1 favorite is trained by Bjorn Gulbrensen for Norway’s Sisset Vatnoy. 14/1 Ulhior du Beziau (7m Orsy Dream-Jipsue du Beziau) was next for Ganriele Gelormini timed in 1.13.6kr over an extended distance. Sweden’e Omaha (8g Varenne-Chops) was third for Pierre Vercruysse.  Derieux also won as trainer/driver with Chess d’Or (3m Orlando Vici-Tess La Chesnsie) for owner Ecurie AB Trot and with Cornaline d’Orient (3f Coktail Jet-Topaze d’Orient), both as favorites. He was also third in a monte event as jockey at 27/1 with Ariwa. At Chatelaillon Antoine Wiels had three wins, three seconds and a third. His wins came with Vanessa Bella, Be Happy and Ulula Bella in 1.15.4kr for well-respected owner/trainer J-P Marmion. Also at t Montauban their Grand Prix de Montauban (€32,000 purse, 2400 meters, 13 European starters) went to the 1.16.5kr winner Saint Malo Rush (9g Hand du Vivier-Jolie du Vaumcel) and Roland Jeffrelot trainer/driver at 2.4/1 odds. Second Favori (9g Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree0France de Vaiges) was next for driver/trainer/owner J-H Treich at 16/1 over 5/1 Umoko (7m Imoko-Kiss Me Counonces) and owner/trainer/pilot Richard Westerink.
