Michael Nimczyk teamed the winner for trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk.  The 6/1 Rock My Dreams (3f Gustav Diamant-Nucedicocio Rex) was second for Josef Franzl, ahead of 12.6/1 outsider Jetway Fortuna (3f Donato Hanover-Saratoga Yankee). Race time was 1.13.4kr. The excellent Saturday program also showcased the Super Trot Cup (purse 70,000€, 2500 meters autostart) that went to 13.6/1 Fabio Bianco (Ufo Kievetshof-Waterlily Bochoeve) handled by Rob T. De Vlieger. Zefiro Dei Cedr (Wishing Stone-Ninfa Degli Dei) was second for Joakim Lovgren and third went to Pocahontas Diamant (Look de Star-Ianira Dei) reined by Alessandro Gocciadoro. Race time was 1.13.8kr. The Monte Derby (purse 20,000€, 1900 meters autostart) saw 2/1 Zauni (g, Quite Easy-Nice Try Diamant) score for Ronja Walter for trainer Manfred Walter. Hambo Transs R was next with jockey Michelle Monster aboard for trainer Paul Hagoort. Third was O’Sunday with Stephanie Werder in the irons. Race time was a record 1.11.5kr. Earlier on the card was the Eduard Winter Deutsches Stuten Derby Finale B (10,000€ purse, 1900 meters, 12 starters) that went to 6.2/1 Marylan Monroe with Michael Nimczyk aboard. She bested Versailles Diamant and reinsman Robin Bakker and third finishing Jamaica Ferr that was piloted by Rob T. De Vlieger. Race time was 1.15.4kr. July 25, 2019 - The field of 12 harness racing trotters is set for the August 4th Deutschlands Traber Derby to be raced at Berlin Mariendorf, Germany. Four eliminations took place on July 21 with the following winners set to contest the final along with their chief rivals. The eliminations, each for a 20,000€ purse, saw the fastest winner being River Flow (Biltmore As-Annabelle As) timed in 1.13.11kr with Thorsten Tietz aboard. Juan les Pins (Expo Bi-Pine Spirit) took the second elimination for Jaap Van Rijn clocked in 1.13.26kr. Arnold J. Mollema trains this winner. The third contest went to the Alessandro Gocciadoro piloted Juan Bros (Muscle Mass-Ziezo Buitenzorg) stopping the timer in 1.13.37kr. Juan Bros And finally, in elimination four, Velten Von Flevo (Ganymede-Babette Flevo) scored for reinsman Rick Ebbinge and trainer JWM Engwerda clocked in 1.14.58. Robin Bakker teamed Mister F Daag (3m Conway Hall-Miss Love) to victory in today’s 123rd edition of the Deutches Traber Derby (purse 215,633 euro with 102,816 euro to the winner, 1900 meters autostart, 12 starters). Paul Hagoort trains the winner of now five career wins in eight starts that Joseph Vanduffel owns. This 7/10 favorite, bred by Jean Huls, was timed in 1.12.3kr as he defeated Ids Boko (3g From Above-Celestial Boko) with Rick Ebbinge driving for trainer Hagoort and Running Stable that was off at 4.3/1. The 8.3/1 Fabio de Pervenche (3m Love You-Her Way) took third for trainer/driver Dion P. Tesselaar and 12/1 Chapter One (3g Donato Hanover-C’est Facile) was fourth for Michael Nimczyk. This one was bred by Jean Pierre Dubois and the dam C’est Facile (2009 f In Dix Huit-Crysta’s Image) showed promise racing briefly in the USA and is a half-sister to the sensational Brigham Dream and Crys Dream. The excellent undercard included first the Askania Derby for a 15,000 euro purse and raced over 1609 meters autostart. Gerrits. Cesare W (3m Dream Vacation-New Hanke Hall) took second for Kurt Roeges and Nashua (3m Brioni-Camarque) was third for trainer Christian Lindhardt at the lines. The 70,000 euro purse Super Trot Cup (2500 meters autostart) went to 9/8/1 Bijou Bourbon HM (6f Sam Bourbon-Venzy Way) with owner Marc Elian up for trainer Conrad Lugauer. Today began the main harness racing action leading to next weekend’s German Trotting Derby, preceeded by the annual Yearling Auction the prior day. Four Derby eliminations for colts took place today, along with the Charlie Mills Memorial. Each carried at purse of €20,000 and was contested over 1900 meters autostart. A summary of the elims follows. The Brandenberg Cup elimination went to 1.3/1 Fiobano (3m Abano As-Fiona KO) for trainer/driver Thorsten Tietz to remain unbeaten in six starts this year and for the career. Stall Pretty Woman is the owner.
