He was off at 54/1 odds and rallied late to defeat 6/10 favorite Aubrion du Gers (9g Memphis du Rib) with owner/trainer Jean Michel Bazire aboard. Jean Michel Bazire won the race for the sixth time starting in 2010 (Aubrion du Gers won the 2017-18 editions) and his trainees finished 1-2-3 with son Nicolas Bazire catch driving the fourth-place finisher. The 6/10 favorite Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) scored with Jean Michel Bazire aboard for owner J-M Rancoule, his 25th victory in 40 career starts now for 865,970€ in life earnings. Cleangame now has posted six wins in seven 2019 starts with a second-place finish. June 30, 2019 - Sunday’s 9th leg of the Trophee Vert series was the harness racing Grand Prix BVS held at Sable-Sur-Sarthe. 18 trotteurs contested this 2800 meter distance handicap events for a total purse of 45,000€. The 1.16.8kr timed victory went to Derby du Dollar (6m Rodrigo Jet-Magalie du Dollar) that overcame a 25 meter handicap teamed by Matthieu Abrivard. Sylvain Roger trains the eight time career winner in 35 starts for owner Thierry Coupireau. His career earnings advanced to 233,070€. Baladin Hongrois (8g Bon Conseil) overcame a 50 meter handicap to be second for trainer/driver Arnaud Desmottes. Conrad Lugauer was back in the winner’s circle with his trainee winner, 28/1 Calvin Borel (9g Super Photo Kosmos-Ulrika Furan), a horse he also owns, timed in 1.12.4kr. Lugauer won yesterday at Vincennes with Norton Commander. Calvin Borel now has life earnings of 249,476€. 3/1 Calou Renardiere (7g Lets Go Along) took second for Eric Raffin and 7.4/1 Crescendis (7f Querido de Blary) was home third with J.F. May 19, 2019 - Sunday’s fifth leg of the Trophee Vert series was the Grand Prix d’Eauze (purse 45,000€, 3000 meters distance handicap on the turf) at Eauze and it was a competitive affair that was won by the 50 meter handicapped Doberman (6m Prodigious) reined by Franck Nivard to a close rallying victory for owner Richard Cohen. Doberman recorded his 11th career win now for 422,780€ in lifetime earnings. The 25 meter handicapped Boxing Day (8g Ganymede) was second driven by Manuel Criado and another 25 meter penalized performer, Comte du Vivier (7g Prince Gede) held third for Franck Jamard after setting the pace.
