Today at Halmstad Sweden the 2018 Elitloppet winner Ringostarr Treb (9m Classic Photo-Farsalo Egral- Supergill) returned to the races (first since October 13, 2018 at Yonkers) and scored in gate to wire fashion in the Yngve Larssons Memorial (100,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart).   Race time was 1.10.3kr for the 2.4/1 harness racing favorite that is trained by Jerry Riordan for EVAM Racing Trotter Srls. of Italy and reined by Wilhelm Paal.   Ringo won for the 31 st time in his 88 race career and he now has career earnings of 13,434,364SEK.     The pace was quick (first 500 1.08.4 (3 Ringostarr Treb), 1000 1.09.5 (3 Ringostarr Treb) and Ringo was a diminishing length winner over 2.54/1 Racing Mange (6m Orlando Vici-Kara Kickan-Alf Palema) reined by trainer Joakim Lovgren and third finishing 9.49/1 odds Dante Boko (9g Going Kronos-Sandra Dime-Alf Palema) with trainer Adrian Kolgjini up.   Earlier on the card was the Euro Classic New Year (50,000SEK first prize, 2140 meters autostart) with that victory to 17/1 Global Action (3m Broadway Hall-Global Mix-Cantab Hall) timed in 1.14.6kr and reined by Joakim Lovgren. Guzz Mearas (3m Muscle Mass-Intensity Kronos-Viking Kronos) at 1.6/1 odds took second for Johan Untersteiner and 48.6/1 One Deep Valley (3m Weingartner-Heavenly East-Juliano Star) was third for Stefan Soderkvist. July 6, 2017 - On Thursday at Halmstad (SWE) was the classic Sprintermaster for harness racing four year-olds, with three eliminations each for 125,000SEK to those winners, and a final with 977,000SEK to that winner. Each heat was raced over 1609 meters autostart.  The final went to 1.10kr timed and 2.9/1 Diamanten (4m Adrian Chip-Iata Kall-Ata Star L) that scored for Christoffer Eriksson driving for Robert Bergh, trainer for Forspro HB. The Bergh trained and teamed Muscle Hustle (4m Muscle Mass-Crown Laurel-Cantab Hall) was second ahead of Electric Light (4m Going Kronos-USA Hornline-Giant Hit) and his trainer/driver Peter Untersteiner. Makethemark was sixth in the final after winning an elim and Paul The Apostle was fifth after a second place finish in elimination two. The elims began with 1.5/1 Diamanten (4m Adrian Chip-Iata Kall-Ata Star L) taking the first timed in 1.10.4kr for trainer/driver Robert Bergh. Racing Mange (4m Orlando Vici-Kara Kickan-Alf Palema) was second for trainer/driver Joakim Lovgren. The second elimination went to 2.2/1 Rajesh Face (4m Raja Mirchi-Nippy Girl-Ginger Somolli) for driver/trainer Lutfi Kolgjini and owner Tommy Nilsson Holdings AB. July 8, 2017 - Today’s V75 Gold at Halmstad (150,000SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart) went to a very impressive Ringostarr Treb (7m Classic Photo-Farsalo Egral-Supergill) clocked in 1.10.5kr for driver Wim Paal and new harness racing trainer Jerry Riordan. Marco Scarton owns the winner, now with a slate of 26-10-14 in 72 career starts for 5,990,194SEK earned. Ringostarr left from past four, went immediately to the front only to go off stride in the first turn. Paal steadied his charge, caught the rivals and then started up three wide on the final lap backside. Off the last turn Ringostarr started “flying” said Pall on post race interview. Day Or Night In (5m Muscle Hill-Ellie America-Buvetier d’Aunou) was second for trainer/driver Johan Untersteiner with third to Cruzado Dela Noche (5m Muscle Massive-Alidada-Credit Winner) with Bjorn Goop up for trainer Stefan Melander. On the terrific card was the StoSprintern Final (Gr. The Gr. July 2, 2015 - At Halmstad Sweden a large crowd estimated at 10,000 watched and wagered on a great harness racing card headed by the Gr. I International Sprinter Masters contested in three eliminations and a 10-horse final. Each event was 1609 meters autostart with elim winners earning 100,000SEK and the final winner earning 940,960SEK. Stefan Melander’s Nuncio swept to victory by winning the first elimination in a mile rate of 1:54.08 by three lengths in gate to wire fashion over Whitehouse Express. After the next two elims went to Hillustrious in a close heated battle with Valstead in 1:52.31 and Jontte Boy in 1:55.52 in elim three, the ten finalists faced the starter in the final with Hillustrious from post one for Johnny Takter, Nuncio from post two and Valstead from post five for Orjan Kihlstrom. As in the second elim Hillustrious and Valstead faced off as a pair with Valstead on the outer followed by stablemate Nuncio. Off the top turn Melander moved Nuncio three-wide to attack and he out-sprinted the leading pair for a neck win in 1:52.63 with Valstead and Hillustrious next. It was quite a race and a special night of racing overall.
