Sweden's Noras Bean (9m Super Arnie-Easy Bean-Songcan) rallied from what appeared as hopeless traffic trouble to score on the line in the 400,000e ($545,000US) Gr. I International UET Masters Series Grand Prix de France at Paris-Vincennes. Bjorn Goop teamed the winner for trainer Ulf Stenstromer, owner Stall Asunden HB and breeder M.M. Herlin. Noras Bean, a bit of a surprise starter, scored at 22/1 odds, for his 18th career victory and earnings now of 1,249,899e.  Five competitiors were within a length at the finish, with the winner timed in 1.12.1kr. Univers de Pan, Tiego d'Etang, Yarrah Boko and Uhlan de Val were next in order. Yarrah Boko surged to the front early in a quick pace that slowed when he was covered by the unchecked The Best Madrik. The Best Madrik led the field into the stretch when he tired, boxed Yarrah Boko, and allowed followers to get into the action. Christian Bigeon looked like the winner with Tiego d'Etang until Noras Bean nailed him with Univers de Pan second. Noras Bean has been a steady upper-level competitor throughout his career and has plenty of US pedigree. Second dam Segersnack is by Snack Bar and third dam Giselle K is by Way To Fame. Sentimental choices Ready Cash and Royal Dream made breaks early and were disqualified along with Santa Rosa France. Despite the disqualification, driver Franck Nivard let Ready Cash trot home rapidly but he broke again mid-stretch. This race was his final career start based on statements earlier in the week by his connections. February 9, 2014 Paris-Vincennes, Grand Prix de France, 400,000e, Gr.
