April 15, 2020 - Trotting action this day at Jagersro featured two harness racing events for emerging three year olds. The first was the Tredringsstoppen (total purse 14,516€, 2140 meters autostart) and it went to 2.4/1 Revelation (3m Readly Express-Monrovie-Rite On Line) timed in 1.15.4kr for trainer/driver Per Nordstrom. This was his first 2020 start after a 1-2-1 slate in five 2019 starts. Fire Piston (3m Ready Cash-Safety Match-Spotlite Lobell) and Filibuster H (3m Great Challenger) followed the winner. The Tredringslopp (three year olds, total purse 12,367€, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters) saw 15.4/1 Under Armour (3g From Above-Exciting Kronos-Viking Kronos) score in 1.17kr with trainer Conrad Lugauer at the lines. This was his first win with a second place finish in two career outings. Maroma Wibb (3f Maharajah) and Global Branding (3g Muscle Hill-Serene Yankee-Conway Hall) were second and third. On the card was also the Viking de Val (purse 11,813€, 1640 meters autostart, 10 starters) and 3.1/1 Inez Alki (5f From Above-Sarah Alki) scored for Hans Crebas who trains for owner Jefftrey Oudarmans. She defeated Sunday Sonata (5f Text Me) and Virgin Maiden (6f Credit Winner). Inez Alki On the same program the Aprilstayern (purse 12,243€, 3140 meters voltstart, eight starters) went to 8.5/1 Quite E Wood (6f Quite Easy-Musical Wood-Goetmals Wood) for trainer/driver Conrad Lugauer. In the Fordel Ston (purse 11,813€, 2140 meters autostart, 10 starters) the 1.13.5kr timed victory went to 93/1 Xlnt Chili Tripel (9g Dream Vacation-Spring Skandal-Conway Hall) for Peter Ingves teaming for trainer Fredrik Persson. April 5, 2020 - Top harness racing action on the weekend was Saturday at Jagersro and Sunday at Umaker. First at Jagersro was the V75 Silver for a purse of 24,496€ and raced over 2140 meters autostart. Prosperous (6g Prodigious-Glorify-Super Arnie) was victorious timed in 1.13.5kr for pilot Bjorn Goop, trainer Henk Grift and owner Draviet Stables. This 3.5/1 odds winner scored from post 12 in this his fourth straight victory. Niky Flak (7g Love You) and Can Lane (7g Pastor Stephen) trailed Prosperous. On the L.C. Peterson-Broddas Minne 2020 (purse 29,272€, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters) the 4.2/1 odds Cyber Lane (7g Raja Mirchi-Sybaris Hanover-Cantab Hall) scored in 1.11.4kr with trainer Johan Untersteiner at the lines. Levaux AB owns the winner that was making his first start this year. Velvet Gio (6g Nad Al Sheba-Mind Wise As-Lemon Dra) was second for Carl Johan Jepson and Tae Kwon Deo (5m Muscle Hill-Brigham Dream-Kaisy Dream) was third for Adrian Kolgjini. Cyber Lane There were several other interesting winners on the program. Rajesh Face (7g Raja Mirchi-Nippy Girl-Ginger Somolli) took the Summer Meeting Monte (purse 8,767€, 1640 meters autostart) in a quick 1.11.8kr with Sofia Adolfsson the jockey. The Derby Trial 2020 (purse 29,271€, 2640 meters autostart, four year olds) saw a 1.15.7kr timed victory to Upset Face (4m Joke Face-Iona LB-Supergill) reined by trainer Adrian Kolghjini. Power (4m Googoo Gaagaa) was second for Robert Bergh. The Klass I event (purse 21.679€, 1640 meters autostart) went to 1.11.7kr timed and 2.1/1 odds Van Gogh ZS (6m Love You-Oyapock Oaks-Andover Hall) with trainer Robert Bergh the pilot. In an event for three-year olds (purse 12,367€, 2140 meters autostart) the 2.8/1 odds Gilmore Trot (3m Muscle Hill-Caddie Geisha-Love You) scored in 1.16.6kr for trainer/driver Peter Untersteiner. This was his second straight victory in as many outings. Looking ahead, on April 10 at Farjestad is the Prins Carl Philips Jubileumspokal and it has drawn ten entrants including Italy’s Varenne Fas in a likely competitive group. On April 5th racing at Umaker was center stage with a host of good races. Shown below are Amperage Hanover and the Tap In roan daughter Redhot Tap Dancer. Trotting in Sweden has continued and has drawn excellent following on the ATG and PMU networks. November 23, 2019 - Harness racing two-year olds were on stage Saturday for the Gr. I National Svensk Upufodningslopning (700,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart) and the quick 1.13.4kr timed victory went to 28/1 Revelation (2m Readly Express-Monrovia-Rite On Line) with trainer Per Nordstrom at the lines. The dam also produced great trotter On Track Piraten (see below) and this winner recorded his first career victory in five outings.  The 5.1/1 Armani Decato (2g Raja Mirchi-Miss America-Lindy Lane) was second with Erik Adielsson up for trainer Svante Bath. 3.3/1 Global Badman (2m Yield Boko-Karalta Bye Bye-Donato Hanover) was third for trainer/driver Daniel Wajersten. On the Jagersro undercard Campo Bahia (4m Muscle Hill-American Dream AT-Extreme Dream) took the Johan Jacobsons Minne timed in 1.12.3kr over 2140 meters. He earned 150,000SEK with the victory for trainer/driver Conrad Lugauer. The V75 Gold Meadow Prophets Minne (200,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart) saw Velvet Gio (5g Nad Al Sheba-Mind Wise As) score in 1.11.8kr for reinsman Ulf Ohlsson and trainer Magnus Dahlen. Robert Bergh was second with Mindyourvalue WF and Shadow Gar was third with Kevin Oscarsson up for trainer Jerry Riordan. Slide So Easy finished fourth for Flemming Jensen Thomas H. Hicks  

At odds of 5.8/1 Attravsersiamo (4m Kiss Francis-Rhythm Kronos-Viking Kronos) took the 2019 Svenskt TravDerby (4,000,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart) at Jagersro clocked in 1.12.6kr. Erik Adielsson was the winning harness racing driver. The Svante Bath trainee by a son of Reve d’Udon won for the 12th time in 18 starts now for 8,213,500SEK in career earnings. The 25.7/1 Ferrari Sisu (4g Djali Boko) took second for Marc Elias and 14.3/1 Alone (4m Maharajah) was third with Orjan Kihlstrom driving. Saturday at Jagersro was the V75 Gold Arvid Stjernswards (200,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart, 11 starters) with victory to the 2.8/1 Dante Boko (9g Going Kronos-Margherita Rosa-Abo Volo) timed in 1.12.1kr and reined by harness racing trainer Adrian Kolgjini. 17/1 Shadow Gar (8f Pine Chip-Lady Killer Gar) took second with Christoffer Eriksson up for trainer Jerry Riordan and owner Pietro Gubellini. Third was 59/1 Art On Line (12g Rite On Line-Lass Fleur-Backstreet Guy) for pilot Carl Johan Jepson Thomas H. Hicks  

December 1, 2018 - Sweden’s oldest stake race, the Svensk Uppfodningslopning (2018), took place Saturday at Jagersro (700,000SEK to both dead heat winners, 1640 meters autostart), saw a harness racing dead heat finish. The winners were 1.13/1 By The Book (2g Googoo Gaagaa-Stellar Value-Viking Kronos) with Orjan Kihlstrom up for trainer Svante Bath and Stall Morklund HB; and 4.03/1 Belker (2m Scarlet Knight-Oki I Can-Amer I Can) driven by Torbjorn Jansson for trainer Sten Jansson and Ingels Jansson. Race time was 1.13.7kr. Third went to 13.8/1 Aetos Kronos (2m Bold Eagle-Will Of A Woman-Muscles Yankee) with Johan Untersteiner up for trainer Jerry Riordan and co-owners Team Snyder AB and Aetos Dios AB. The race was preceded by the post parade led by the 1998 race winner Revenue. The great champion still looks in superb form and he showed interest in taking on the 2018 two year olds. This is an opportunity to summarize the performances of Revenue (1996 by Reve d’Udon-Hazel Sund-Sugarcane Hanover), undefeated at two, a career winner 47 times in 110 starts for US$1,998.608, and sire of five million dollar winners including Market Share US$3,792,101, Melady’s Monet, Hot Shot Blue Chip and others. II International, V75 Gold, purse 74,368€, 2640 meters autostart).  Orjan Kihlstrom piloted the Daniel Reden trainee that Stall Zet owns, to his eighth 2018 victory in 12 starts. His career earnings is 22,585.317SEK after the 400,000SEK first prize earned with this victory. Race time was 1.12.6kr. Propulsion now has 32 career wins in 63 starts. 11/1 Cyber Lane (5g Raja Mirchi-Sybaris Hanover-Cantab Hall) was a pocket sitting second for trainer/driver Johan Unterste iner and 36/1 Carabinieri (7m Wellino Boko-Dew Princess-JR Broline) took the third heck for trainer/driver Peter Untersteiner. Veteran On Track Piraten (10g Kool du Caux) took a run at the leader and held on for fourth ahead of Racing Mange The solid card also included the Final Breeders Course for 2018 Two Year Olds, with nine starters vying for 600,000SEK first prize in this 1640 meters autostart contest. Peterson Broddas 2018 V75 Gold (200,000SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart) reined by harness racing driver Johan Untersteiner and clocked in 1.11.7kr. The winner now has three 2018 wins in as many starts and 14 career victories in 37 outings. 2.3/1 Dante Boko (8g Going Kronos-Margherita Rose-Abo Volo) was second for trainer/driver Lutfi Kolgjini and 14.3/1 Mindyourvalue WF was home third for Robert Bergh. September 3, 2017 - Jagersro hosted today’s Swedish Derby events, first the Gr.I national Broline Filly Derby (mares, purse €204,800, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters). 3/5 favorite Cash Crowe (4f Ready Cash-Giant Crowe-Gigant Neo) prevailed timed in 1.11.59kr for driver Johnny Takter and trainer Petri Puro.  PP Trav AB owns the winner, now with 10 career wins in only 12 starts. The two length victor won over 14/1 Mulligan (4f Maharajah-Music la Mark) for Thomas Uhrberg, also owner/trainer. 45/1 Unique Juni (4f Uptown Yankee-Staro Unique) took third for driver Peter Untersteiner and trainer H.R. Stromberg. The Gr. I National Svenskt Trav Derby (males, purse €409,600, 2640 meters autostart, 12 starters) went to 1.12.8kr timed and 27.4/1 Cyber Lane (4g Raja Mirchi-Sybaris Hanover). April 8, 2017 - Veteran classmaster Spring Erom (12m Gentle Star-Springflickan-Prince Mystic) took today’s harness racing featured V75 Gold LC Peterson-Broddas (2140 meters autostart, 150,000SEK to the winner) at Jagersro. Timed in 1.11.3kr and driven by Christoffer Eriksson, for trainer Dan Widegren and Stall Sten Nilsson AB, Gentle Star recorded his 30th career victory in 96 starts for 7,403,000SEK earned. The 9/1 veteran bested 18/1 Vasterboonthenews (9g Credit Winner-Sandra Dime-Alf Palema), with Peter Untersteiner up. 14/1 Fire To The Rain (6g Yankee Glide-Adelaide Hall-Conway Hall) took third for pilot Peter Ingves and trainer Reijo Liljendahl. Another Riordan trainee finished second, that being Twister Bi (4m Varenne-Lorraine Bi-Lemon Dra) reined by Thomas Uhrberg. Aaron The Baron ended third. Another 128,400SEK purse event was for aged mares raced over 2140 meters. Rainbow Of Nando (6f RC Royalty-Isidora-Pine Chip) scored clocked in 1.16kr for driver Orjan Kihlstrom and trainer Sofia Aronsson. Alva Garbo (6f Kadabra-Sunrise As-Varenne) was second for teamster Erik Adielsson and trainer Svante Bath. At Solvalla was the 2016 Fryraringslopp (200,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart) for mares. The 1.15.2kr winner was 3.25/1 Oceanic Clearance(4f Scarlet Knight-Hermit Lady-Express Ride). I National harness racing event returned 2SEK million to the winning horse. Race time was 1.12.7kr for Readly Express, now with a 12-3-0 career slate in 15 starts and 5-1-0 this year in six outings. Branke AB and Bro Byggnads own the winner of now 5.6SEK million, off as the 1.3/1 favorite. Roger Malmqvist (trainer/driver) won later in the Certago (70,000SEK to winner, 1609 meters autostart) with Farzad Boko (4g Zola Boko-Kathy Silvio-Spotlite Lobell) as 1.9/1 favorite. The Takmontage (100,000SEK to the winner, 1609 meters autostart) was the late race of the evening and Finland’s Shadow Woodland prevailed for Ulf Ohlsson and trainer Reijo Liljendahl clocked in 1.10.4kr (mile rate 1:53.27f) for his third 2016 victory in seven appearances. Italy’s Radieux (6g Love You-Dordogne-Viking Kronos) took second for Adrian Kolgjini and trainer Lutfi Kolgjini, ahead of Exodus Hanover with Kihlstrom the pilot.
