June 19, 2020 - Feeling Cash (5m Ready Cash-Royale Star) survived a vicious harness racing duel with Fleche Bourbon and scored in today’s Prix Xavier de Saint Palais (Gr. II monte, purse 85,000€, 2225 meters, five year olds) at Mauquenchy (transferred card from Vincennes) clocked in 1.12.3kr. Eric Raffin, the masked man, was the winning jockey for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Carlos Lerner. Feeling Cash, who drifted right in the lane, was off at 4.9/1 odds and won for the eighth time in his career, now for 897,100€ earned. 36/1 Flore de Janeiro (5f Vanishing Point-Ozie de Janeiro) was second with Anthony Barrier in the irons for trainer/owner Franck Blandin. Third home was 38/1 Fiona Gendreenne (5f Akim du Cap Vert-Pekinois) with Mathieu Mottier up for owner/trainer Dominique Lemetayer. Feche Bourbon was a misque dq when engaged in the struggle with the eventuial winner. Feeling Cash On Sunday racing resumes (really) at Paris-Vincennes and what a card it is on Champions Journey Day. There are six groupe races including the Gr. I Prix Albert Viel for three year olds and the Gr. Groupe level harness racing action took place this week at Mauquenchy (relocated from Vincennes) with two events. The Gr. III Prix Caecilia (purse 60,000€, 2850 meters voltstart, four year olds) saw Gelati Cut (4m Coktail Jet-Variety Cut) score timed in 1.16.2kr for Alexandre Abrivard. R.C. Larue trains this performer that now has five career victories for 170,370€ earned. Girolamo (4m Uriel Speed-Seduction d’Anama) was second with Franck Ouvrie at the lines. Third was Gimy di Pommereux (4m Coktail Jet-Noune du Pommereux) with Matthieu Abrivard the pilot for the Roger/Lolic team. The co-featured Gr. III Prix de Gien (purse 60,000€, 2850 meters voltstart, three year olds, European eligibles) produced a 1.16.6kr score for the game Heavens Pride (3m Brillantissime-Queenly Pride) reined by David Thomain. This Philippe Allaire trainee now has four career wins good for 84,700€ earned. Hokkado Jiel (3m Brillantissime-Victory Jiel) was a fast closing second with P.Y. Verva aboard for trainer J.L. May 22, 2020 - Two Groupe level events graced the Vincennes at Mauquenchy harness racing program on Friday. The Prix du Crepuscule (Gr. III, purse 70,000€, 2150 meters autostart, European eligibles) saw Dorgos de Guez (7g Romcok de Guez-Landy Fromentro) score in 1.11.8kr with Alexandre Abrivard at the lines. Jean Michel Bazire trains this winner for Ecurie Vautors. Dorgos recorded his 22nd career victory now for 605,680€ earned. The classy mare Chica de Joudes (8f Jag de Bellouet-Queschua Love) was second for owner/trainer/driver Alain Laurent. Third went to Detroit Castelets (7m Neoh Jiel) handled by David Thomain for trainer J.L. Dersoir. Dorgos de Guez The Gr. II Prix Ozo (purse 85,000€, 2850 meters, 10 starters all three year olds) went to a game 5/10 favorite Havana d’Aurcy (3f Royal Dream-Avila) timed in 1.17.5kr with Alexandre Abrivard up for trainer Jean Michel Bazire and breeder/owner Cyril Lelarge. 9/2 odds Havanaise (3f Ricimer-Version Philo) took second with F.P. Bossuet the trainer/driver. Third was 15/1 Hirondelle Sibey (3f Gazouillis) for Eric Raffin. Havana d’Aurcy The day before turf action for the trotteurs was at Avignon-Le Pontet at Nimes. There, the Prix de la Ville du Pontet (purse 11,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap, three-year olds on the turf) went to Hede Wood (3f Niky-Care Mia Wood) in her first career victory, with David Bekaert aboard. She was timed in 1.24.3kr for breeder/owner Jean Pierre Dubois. Stablemate and 25 meter handicapped Horchestro (3g Sam Bourbon-Alismada Corta) was second for trainer Kevin Vanderschelden and of course breeder/owner JPD. November 21, 2018 - Today’s Quinte+ 13th leg of the Gr. III Grand National du Trot Paris Turf (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap, 18 starters) was at Mauquenchy. The 1.9/1 favorite Ceylan Dairpet (6g Ouragon de Celland-Rosy MIP) scored, timed in 1.13.8kr, with Yoann Lebourgeois aboard for trainer Tony LeBeller and owner Ecurie Dairpet. The victory was his 13th in 35 career starts now for 412,410€ earned. 3.3/1 Balfour (7g Scipion du Goutier) was second for Dominick Locqueneux and 9/1 Bonne Copine (7f Love You) was third for Franck Nivard, trainer Thierry Raffegeau and owner J-Y Roze. 11/1 Arfor de Mire and 29/1 Baladin Hungrois completed the top five and there was one Q+ e-ticket winner that received 230,483.80 for a 2€ wager. On the card was also the Prix Maurice de Folleville (purse 30,000€, 2850 meters, nine starters) that went to 1.17.2kr timed and 4.1/1 odds Forsica du Rocha (3g Un Mer d’Heripre-Taigada Houlbet) for trainer/driver Franck Nivard, his third career victory in 11 starts now for 51,700€ in earnings. The winner’s sire is a great horse and great gaited. It will be interesting to watch his siring production. The Prix Andre Perdrix (purse 21,000€, 2850 meters, 15 starters) went to the 1.7/1 Etenclin (4m Jag de Bellouet-Volpaia) handled by Robin Bakker to the 1.15.7kr timed score. Paul Hagoort trains this property of Stable Why Not. Yesterday, in trots action at Solvalla, was the Sulkysports (60,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart, five starters) that was to be a return jubilee for the 2017 Yonkers International winner Twister Bi. Off as the 1.2/1 favorite the now Timo Nurmos trainee was reined by Bjorn Goop and he was away with an easy lead that he maintained for over 1600 meters. Then, he was challenged by 9.2/1 Mind Your Face (9g Offshore Dream-Mind Your Manners-Dahir de Prelong), that rolled past and proceeded to an easy victory for driver Erik Adielsson and trainer Lars Friberg. Race time for the winner was 1.13.4kr. The 11.5/1 Final Oak (8m Make It Happen-Cara Bobs Crown) rallied to be second for driver Claes Sjostrom and trainer Mikael Starling. Third went to 6.1/1 King City (7m Muscle Hill-Creamy Mimi-Conway Hall) was third for Orjan Kihlstrom, trainer Roger Walmann and SRF Stable. 21.6/1 French Laundry was fourth and Twister Bi was a distant last. The featured Kritericreverschen (200,000SEK to the winner, three year olds, 2640 meters autostart) saw the 25.1/1 outsider Concrete Dee (3g Donato Hanover-Little Face-Viking Kronos) scored timed in 1.14.6kr for driver Kenneth Haugstad, trainer Roger Walmann and owner/breeder Kottimporten AM. November 22, 2017 - Today’s harness racing Q+ was at Mauquenchy in the 13th leg of the Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf (Gr. III, purse €90,000, 2850 meters distance handicap, 18 starters). Victory went to 3/1 Aero King (7g Hooper-Quarmina du Hour) reined by Anthony Barrier for owner/trainer Mme. Virginie Lecroq. Race time was 1.14.2kr and the top three home were not distance handicapped. 45.9/1 Vanderlov (8g Orlando Vici-Maestria de Fligny) took second for trainer/driver Aymeric Thomas. 10.7/1 Bon Copain (6m Love You-Haie) was third for Francois Levcanu/ 2.4/1 Classic Way (5m Prodigious) was fourth. This Tour de Trance des Trotteurs commenced March 8 and now after 13 legs Tiger Danover has 70 points, ahead of Violine Mourotaise with 56 and Ursa Major with 54 points. The final will be December 3 at Paris-Vincennes. This series brings upper level trotters to smaller markets throughout France. Yesterday (November 21) at Paris-Vincennes was the Prix Ostarg (purse €55,000, 2850 meters, 16 entrants) and the 1.13.2kr timed, 22.3/1 odds, winner was Chica de Joudes (5f Jag de Ballouet-Queschua Love) reined by owner/trainer Alain Laurent. 3/2 favorite Comete des Vaux (5f Simngalo-Queen Marie Vaux) reined by Tony LeBeller for owner/trainer J.M. Legros. 12.7/1 Callas du Bouff (5f Look de Star) was third for David Thomain. Same evening, same venue, was the Prix Polyxo (purse €33,000, 2200 meters, 14 starters) and 4/5 favorite Fashion Queen (2f Pablo As-Pidelia) scored for Eric Raffin timed in 1.16.6kr. June 24, 2017 - Franck Nivard teamed Express Bourbon (3m Ready Cash-Kamera Bourbon-Cezio Josselyn-Etta Extra) to a 1.17kr victory this day in the Prix du Green Horse Festival (purse €21,000, 2850 meters, three year-old open). Sebastien Guarato trains this winner for owner Yvette Engelke. Haras Saint Martin bred Express Bourbon that is from a US$221,000 winning mare. Second was another well-bred three year-old, this the filly Erabella Madrik (3f Ready Cash-Talina Madrik-Korean-Ketty d’Occagnes-Workaholic) driven by Jean-Pierre Dubois, also owner, and trained by Yves Boireau. Her dam won US$439,000. Third was Early Morning (3m Coktail Jet-Passion d’Amour-Joyau d’Amour) reined by Thibault Borderie. Fourth went to Expeditious (3m Prodigious-Rapide Aventure-Love You-Bahama), his dam a winner of US$244,000, and today driven by Julien Dubois for trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams. The quality of this race set the pace for a superb Paris-Vincennes program tomorrow, with seven groupe races and a myriad of top performers led by Bold Eagle and Belina Josselyn in the Gr. I UET Masters Prix Rene Balliere for a €200,000 purse. The other Gr. I events are the Prix d’Essai, Grand Prix du President de la Republique and Prix Albert Viel. Eiffel Tower, Django Riff and Ecu Pierji are favorites in these. November 23, 2016 - Today’s harness racing Quinte+  Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf (purse €90,000, 2850 meters distance handicap, 18 starters), Gr, III) was at Mauquenchy with the 1.13.7kr victory to 7.9/1 Bolide Jenilou (5g Kesaco Phedo-Medodie Jenilou). The one benefitted from no distance penalty. Anthony Barrier teamed the winner for owner Jean-Paul Masselin. 7/10 favorite Bugsy Malone (5g Ready Cash-Night Captain) rallied for Yoann Lebourgeois to nearly overcome his 25 handicap (timed in 1.13.2kr). Philippe Allaire is trainer/owner. Third was 21/1 Vanille du Dollar (7f Magnificent Rodney-Magalie du Dollar) with Franck Nivard up for trainer Sylvain Roger, timed in 1.13.2kr over the 2875 meters she traveled. Swedishman (handicapped 50 meters)and Al Capone Jet were fourth and fifth. Also at Mauquenchy, Franck Nivard teamed two winners. 4.9/1 West Wing (8g Steinlager-Westgate) won the Prix Paris Normandie (purse €26,000, 2850 meters, 14 European starters) for trainer Johan Untersteiner and Stall Victory HB timed in 1.15.8kr. Nivard also won the Prix du Conseil Department de Seine-Maritime (purse €30,000, 2800 meters, 16 European entrants) with the 2.3/1 and 1.15.7kr timed Tout Va Bien (9g Ingen-La Lolita) for breeder/owner/trainer Bernard Kernivinen. On November 22 at Paris-Vincennes was the Prix Ostara (purse €55,000, 2850 meters 13 starters) and the 1.13.6kr winner was 27.5/1 Belly Dance (5f Prodigious-Doina). Julian Dubois piloted the Ecurie Etoile owned mare that Jean-Philippe Dubois trains. Bedega Cheneviere was second. The Prix Polyxo B (purse €33,000, 2200 meters, 14 starters) for two year-olds went to 4.9/1 Extreme Vrie (2f Village Mystic-Roseraie Vrie). Breeder/owner/trained served as the pilot this day. 16/1 Extasia Bella (2f Prodigious-Rare Perle) held second for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer L.Cl. Abrivard. Third was 2.9/1 Eternoity du Belver (2f Coktail Jet-Sindy de la Noe) Racing continues at Vincennes on November 24 featuring the €95,000 purse Prix de L’Ile de Re, a monte event over 2850 meters with 19 expected starters.
