Cleangame (8g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) gamely held on to win Vichy’s Grand Prix du Conseil Municipal (International, purse 90,000€, 2950 meters distance handicap) clocked in 1.11.0kr. He was off as the 5/10 favorite and overcame a 25-meter handicap to win for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and owner J.M. Rancoule. Racing with shoes on Cleangame won for the 34th time in his racing career for 1,292,070€ earned and indicated he may be back among the top performers in France. The 9/1 odds Bugsy Malone (9g Ready Cash-Night Captain) was a tough second as he also overcame the 25 meter penalty and raced wide throughout for reinsman Yoann Lebourgeois and owner/trainer Philippe Alllaire. 5.9/1 Eclat de Gloire (6h Tiego d’Etang) was placed third through the dq of Etonnant. The 4/10 favorite Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) easily overcame a 50 meter handicap to win today’s Gr. III Prix Jean Dumouch (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap) for trainer/driver Jean-Michel Bazire and owner J-M Rancoule. Cleangame won for the 32nd time in 49 career starts now for life earnings of 1,229,220€. Cleangame was away near the back and advance steadily on the leaders after 1000 meters. He engulfed the competition off the final turn and sped away to an four length margin of victory. Race time was 1.11.6kr (mile race 1:55.20) over the winner’s 2900 meter distance. Cleangame is quite a trotter, likely among the best currently racing. The 13/1 odds Tessy d’Ete (7f Ganymede-Love Me Tender) was second with Franck Nivard up and 5.2/1 Chica de Joudes (7f Jag de Bellouet) was third for Alain Laurent. 21/1 Balbir and 88/1 Anzi des Liards completed the top five with Ble de Gers and Cokstile earnings the sixth and seventh checks. Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) took this week’s finale of the Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf series at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. Off at 1.4/1 from post 15 this J-M Bazire trainee was handled by Eric Raffin for Ecurie J-M Rancoule as he recorded his 30th victory in 47 starts now for 1,130,220€ earned. The Gr. II finale carried a purse of 130,000€and was race raced over 2850 meters with the winner handicapped 50 meters. He was clocked in 1.11.5kr over 2900 meters and drew off late after a mighty surge to the front. The 28/1 Eclat de Gloire (5g Tiego d’Etang) was second for trainer/driver Loris Garcia. The 17/1 Calska de Guex (7f Pomerol de Laumac) took third for trainer Bazire and reinsman David Thomain. 74/1 Belle Louis Mabon and 79/1 Baron du Bourg completed the top five and set up the exact order Q+ payoff of 141,910.80€ earned by 12 winning ticketholders. The four year old 80,000€ division was also raced over 2850 meters with the 1.14kr score to 8/10 favorite Fifty Black (4m Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree) and teamster Anthony Barrier for trainer Gregory Thorel. It was the winner’s sixth win in 14 career starts. Ahead this Sunday at Vincennes is the second “B” with the Prix du Boubonnais raced over 2850 meters for 110,000€. 18 starters included Bold Eagle with Eric Raffin up for Sebastien Guarato. Guarato will have four at the start also including the veteran mare Billie de Montfort. J-M Bazire will start five and he will drive Belina Josselyn. The 5/10 favorite Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) took today’s Gr. III Prix des Cevennes (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, 13 starters) at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes in France. It was also the start of the winter race season at Vincennes.  Trainer Jean Michel Bazire teamed the winner to his 29th career win in 46 starts, now for 1,091,970€ earned. J-M Rancoule owns the winner that was timed in 1.12kr. Second was 23/1 Balbir (8g Ganymede-Manzir) reined by Mickael Cormy for Ecurie du Vieux Chene. 30/1 Bahia Quesnot (8f Scipion du Goutier-Queen Ines) rallied for third teamed by her trainer Junior Guelpa. 5.2/1 Tony Gio (7m Varenne-Ilaria Jet), 42/1 Looking Superb, 12/1 Bugsy Malone and 75/1 Clarck Sotho trailed the top three in this good field that saw Davidson du Pont finish ninth, Carat Williams 12th and Dreambreaker 13th. The race was the Quinte+ race of the day and the exact order payoff was 6,910.20€ for a 2€ wager with 116 winning ticketholders. The Q+ pool was 3,388,282€ and the total of all pool on this race exceeded 7,109,000€. On the program six year olds contested the Prix du Dorat (purse 59,000€, 2700 meters, eight starters). J-M Bazire scored again with 3.1/1 Dayana Berry (6f Scipion du Goutier-Idee du Corta) timed in 1.14.7kr. The Bazire owned and trained winning mare now has eight career victories in 36 starts. 6/1 Diego Sautonne was second for Matthieu Abrivard and 8.6/1 Bazire trainee Dostoievski was third with Nicolas Bazire the pilot. The favorite Defi de Retz, another Bazire trainee, was a dq. Jean Michel Bazire returned again to win the Prix des Clematites (two year olds, purse 32,000€, 2200 meters, 12 starters) with 1.4/1 Hoffenbach (2m Cristal Money-Angelica). Clocked in 1.17.5kr this was Hoffenbach’s maiden win in four starts. His sire is a son of Coktail Jet-Making Money-Himo Josselyn and his offspring are showing up in the winners’ circle with some regularity. This day was the kickoff of the Winter Meet at Vincennes that continues through February 29. Today’s Quinte+ Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf at Nantes (12th leg, Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 3000 meters distance handicap, 16 starters) saw the 3/10 favorite Cleangame (6g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) score for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and owner J-M Rancoule. The race time was 1.13.3kr and Cleangame recorded his 19th victory in 32 career starts for 579,470€ earned. 29/1 Bonne Copine (7f Love You-Joie Baroque) took second money for driver Franck Nivard, trainer Thierry Raffegeau and owner J-Y Roze. The 21/1 Class de Loriol (7f Ready Cash-Orageuse de Marjon) was third with Eric Raffin aboard. The top five was completed by 35/1 Colonel (6g Goetmals Wood) and 91/1 Bel Avis (7g Ganymede), these also Bazire trainees. The Q+ exact order payoff was 6,748.80€. The winner recorded his 12th career victory in 33 starts for 371,910€ earned. Race time was 1.13.7kr. 136/1 Valseme (9g Bijou du Bignon) was second for Th. Dromigny ahead of 7.5/1 Christo (6g Rieussec) and trainer/driver Michel Lenoir. Vertige de Chenu at 7.5/1 and 89/1 Amout Orageux completed the top five and set up a Quinte+ payoff for an exact order ticket of 44,225.80€ for a 2€ wager. III Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf harness race on Wednesday (purse 90,000 euro, 2726 meters distance handicap, 14 starters), The 2/5 odds favorite Cleangame (6g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) overcame a 25 meter handicap to get up in the final strides to capture the GNT timed in 1.12.1kr with trainer J-M Bazire aboard. Ecurie J-M Rancoule owns the now 18 time career winner of 498,470 euros earned. Ceylan Dairpet (6g Ouragon de Celland-Rosy Mip) was second for trainer/driver Tony LeBeller and Ecurie Dairpet, off at 6.6/1. Longshot 21/1 Barbue (7f Hermes du Buisson) took third for Anthony Barrier, ahead of 52/1 As Blue (8g L’As de Viretaute) and 16/1 Aigle Jenilou to complete the top five in this Quinte+ event. The 8.7/1 Copernic de Play (6g Giant Cat) took third for owner/trainer/driver Franck Blandin. 21/1 Coup Droit and 23/1 Chicago Blue were fourth and fifth. This race was the day’s Quinte+ event and the payoff was 1,049.60 for an exact order ticket, plus there was a jackpot winner who earned an additional 1 million euro. On June 6 was the prestigious Quinte+ Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf held at Laval (Gr.III, purse €90,000, 2850 meters, 18 starters) and 2.4/1 Cleangame (6g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) scored in 1.12.5kr for trainer/driver J-M Bazire and owner J-M Rancoule.   This one now sports 15 career wins in 28 outings for €403,970 earned. 1.3/1 Caprice du Lupin (6g Chaillot) was second for Antoine Wiels and breeder/trainer/owner J-P Marmion. 26/1 Blues des Landiers (7g Phlegyas) was third for Dominique Cheradame, the breeder/owner/trainer/driver. 57/1 Unero Montaval and 41/1 Artiste de Joudes completed the top five.   The hot trotting Unstoppable (6g Zola Boko-Arnie’s Angel) took his seventh win in the last 11 starts at Gelsenkirchen in the Wettstar de Sportvetten for €4,000 and raced by six over 2000 meters autostart. Robbin Bot teamed the 4/5 odds winner that defeated 5.4/1 Ultra As (5g Civil Action) that had Rob T. De Vlieger aboard.   As the Oslo Grand Prix draws near, featuring Twister Bi and Be Mine de Houelle on the undercard), a June 6 event the GJENSIDIGE went to the legendary bred Forever Peace (5m Muscle Hill-Peaceful Way) in 1:55.5 over the 1609 meters autostart course.   Erlend Rennesvik is trainer driver of the Stall Sving bred and owned winner that earned 30,000NOk with the victory. Sunday’s harness racing featured monte Gr. I Prix des Elites (purse €240,000, 2200 meters, 12 starters) at Paris-Vincennes went to 3.1/1 Cyprien des Bordes (5g Ouragon de Celland-Perle des Bordes) timed in 1.12.1kr and ridden by J.L.Cl. Dersoir. Legendary trainer Joel Hallais conditions this one for Ecurie Rib. The five-length winner defeated 12/1 Chancelliere (5f Goetmals Wood) with jockey Alexandre Abrivard in the irons for trainer L.Cl. Abrivard and well-known owner/breeder Jean Pierre Barjon. Third was 3.8/1 three year-old Eye Of The Storm (3m Village Mystic) and jockey Yoann Lebourgeois for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. The program at Vincennes included two Gr. III contests. The monte Prix Georges Dreux (purse €105,000, 2850 meters, eight international starters) was won by 16/1 Alienor de Godrel (7f Orlando Vici-Julietta) with jockey Damien Bonne up. Franck Anne trains the property of Ecurie AB Trot that was clocked in 1.13.6kr. 6/1 Ulka des Champs (9f Offshore Dream-Melissa des Champs) took second for Mathieu Abrivard, ahead of 6.2/1 Tornado Bello (10m Jag de Bellouet-Enfilade) with Camille Levesque up for trainer Thomas Levesque and owner Pierre Levesque. Enfilade is dam of Offshore Dream, the well-regarded Prix d’Amerique winner. The other Gr.
