III International Grand Prix Anjou-Maine at Angers, a 3125 meter distance handicap event with a purse of €100,000. 17 starters contested this Quinte+ race of the day with a €5.7 million jackpot. Franck Nivard teamed the winner for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin to his 25th career victory, now for €801,330 earned. Swedishman overcame a 25 meter handicap to score in 1.13.5kr at 3.6/1 odds and has proven this summer that he can handle upper-level competition in France. Stetheric  (8g Alpha Barbes-Justice Pruvee) was second for trainer/driver Franck Ouvrie with Uprince (6g Prince d’Espace-Malupricia) third at 29/1 for Eric Raffin, he also handicapped 25 meters.
