Unsurprisingly recent Breeders Crown winer, Rock N Roll Heaven speaheads the 2010 Hambletonian/Breeders Crown Standardbred Poll for the Week 23 ending October 19. The harness racing champion is ahead of other pacing guns like Won The West and Put On A Show.

The United States Trotting Association has released its harness racing leaders for the week ending October 17 and it comes as no surprise that recent Breeders Crown winner Rock N Roll Heaven tops the list. Tim Tetrick is again at the helm of the driving table.

This is the best our harness racing sport has to offer. This year it may not ALL come down to the Breeders Crown, as the slogan goes, but for those who came down for the Breeders Crown at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs last Saturday, it was a spectacle that cast a bright light on this sport.

All harness racing records are made to be broken. There maybe no record more at risk than the one for olders pacers on a five-eighths mile track. Given the overwhelming talent pool heading into the October 9 $500,000 Breeders Crown Open event at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, it's certainly conceivable it will take a world mark to win the race.
