September 6, 2020 The 1.8/1 odds Diana Zet (4f Hard Livin-Marsia LB-Windsongs Legacy) held gamely on the front to secure harness racing victory in the Derbystoet (first prize 1,000,000SEK, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters) today at Jagersro. Race time was 1.12.7kr for the Orjan Kihlstrom reined mare that is trained by Daniel Reden for Stall Zet. This was her fifth 2020 win in eight starts and it was her 10th career victory in 18 lifetime appearances for 8,138,000SEK earned. Milady Grace (4f Ready Cash-Khao Manee-Muscle Yankee) was second at 4.8/1 for reinsman Bjorn Goop and the Reden/Stall Zet team. Another stablemate, the 33.3/1 odds outsider Alaska Kronos (4f Trixton-Illinois-Donerail), was third with Carl Johan Jepson at the lines for the Reden/Stall Zet team. Trainer Robert Bergh teamed the winner for Stall Mary AB as Hail Mary won for the 14th time in 16 career starts, now for 3,373,000 in life earnings. Bjorn Goop trains and drove the winner for Jan Lyng of Norway as he won for the sixth time in nine 2020 starts and 13th career win in 43 appearances now for life earnings of 5,894,440SEK.  Who’s Who (6m Maharajah-Reality Pride-From Above) was second with Orjan Kihlstrom up for trainer Pasi Aikio. The 3.8/1 Ganga Bae (4f Muscle Hill-Alesis As-Conway Hall) was second handled by Jorma Kontio for Courant AB and trainer Stefan Melander. 11.6/1 Award Kronos (4f Father Patrick-NordicGoldNovember-Viking Kronos) took third for the Reden/Stall Zet team and this one reined by Adrian Kolgjini. Today’s ICA Maxi Eskilstuna (purse to winner 200,000SEK, 2640 meters autostart, 10 starters) in Sweden put some superb four year olds on stage. The exceptional Ecurie D (4m Infinitif-To Soon-Muscles Yankee) scored for the 11th consecutive time for trainer Frode Hamre and owners Global Glide SAB and Smart Repair, this one over an extended distance and from post 9 in the second tier. Off at 1.4/1 Ecurie D worked between horses and made the lead in lap one before the stands. Driver Bjorn Goop rated the pace and then powered away in the last going with a quick final 640 meters. Race time was 1.12.7kr (fractions 1.11.8kr at the first 500; 1.14.2kr at the 1000 meters, 1.14.4kr at the first 1500 and 1.14.1kr at the 2000 meter mark). Next up for the Jean Pierre Dubois bred colt is reportedly in the Hugo Abergs Memorial. Brother Bill (4g From Above) was second for Jorma Kontio and conditioner Timo Nurmos. Superbly reined by Orjan Kihlstrom for trainer Daniel Reden and Stall Zet, the winner was clocked in 1.11.8kr (mile rate 1:55.52) in a well rated journey. Fractions were 1.12.6kr at the first 500 meters, 1.14.3kr at the 1000; 1.13.3kr at 1500-meter mark. Kihlstrom’s rating left Aetos Kronos (4m Bold Eagle-Will Of A Woman-Muscles Yankee) parked in the death seat throughout with Green Manalishi (4m Muscle Hill-Naga Morich-Enjoy Lavec) behind him.
