January 17, 2021 - Davidson du Pont (8m Pacha du Pont-Laguna du Pont) secured his ticket to the Prix d’Amerique by scoring impressively in today’s harness racing Prix de Belgique (Gr. II International, purse 110,000€, 2850 meters) at Vincennes. Race time was 1.12.0kr over a tight racetrack following snow and heavy conditions yesterday. Davidson du Pont, off the 4/10 favorite and handled by trainer Jean Michel Bazire for owner Albert Rayon, followed Moni Viking (8m Maharajah) and Delia du Pommereux on the outer as they chased Billie de Montfort (10f Jasmin de Flore) and then Looking Superb around the final bend. In the stretch Moni Viking was on the lead and then was engulfed by the winner (now with 14 career victories for 1,355,610€ earned) and second finishing Delia du Pommeruex (8f Niky-Noune du Pomereux) with Eric Raffin her pilot. Moni Viking held third for trainer/driver Pierre Vercruysse and Billie de Montfort was a distant fourth with Gabriele Gelormini up. Feliciano finished fifth. Delia, Feliciano and Moni Viking had earlier earned their spots in America’s prize at month end. II monte Prix Emile Roiteau (purse 100,000€, 2700 meters, International) to earn a Prix de Cornulier ticket. Mathieu Mottier was the jockey for trainer Gilles Curens and owner Augustin Rada. Gladys won her fourth straight monte contests and this was her eighth career won now for 434,220€ earned. 8/1 All Wise As (5f Varenne-Temple Blue Chip) was second with Alexandre Abrivard up for trainer H.E. December 30, 2020 - The Kincsem Park harness racing season came to end and is slated to resume January 31. Year end 2020 awards were earned by leading driver Veljko Mazsity with 30 victories and leading trainer Tibor Hajnal with 27 conditioning wins. Other awards went to leading owner Hico Istello, leading breeder Kabala Menes Kft and top amateur driver Andrea Fazekas. Congratulations award winners, and congratulations to all horsemen and management that made 2020 an excellent year. ................................................ Third home was 27/1 Delia du Pommereux (8f Niky-Noune du Pommereux) for David Thomain and trainer Sylvain Roger. Face Time Bourbon won for the 28th time in his career now for 2,197,440€ earned, with Sebastien Guarato his trainer for owner Scuderia Bivans Srl. Vivid Wise As has the same owner. December26, 2020 - Virginia Grif (6f Varenne-Francy Capar-Supergill) secured a harness racing victory in this day’s Gran Premio Mari Trofeo Donato (purse 110,000€, 1600 meters autostart) at Taranto in Italy. Mass. Castaldo teamed the winner that was timed in 1.12.2kr and defeated Zadig del Ronco (5m Iulius del Ronco) with third to Taurus del Ronco (8m Varenne-Ilde del Ronco), The great Arazi Boko (13g Varenne) was a scratch from this event after winning the Pr. Citta’ di Siracuse on December 6 timed in 1.12.3kr and a November 22 victory in batteria A of the Palio Comuni di Montegiorgio timed in 1.12.5kr.  He was fifth in that finale to Chief Orlando in 1.10.9kr.
