Jean-Pierre Dubois, legendary French driver, trainer, owner and breeder, captured Wednesday's  Ahlsell Legends at Solvalla Racecourse. Dubois executed a perfect strategy, leaving alertly from post six driving Jeppas Hugo (7g Coktail Jet-Finesse As-Somatic). Dubois secured a close-up, on the pylons, position that he maintained until the final stretch drive at which time he followed outside flow and jetted to the lead. Jeppas Hugo scored by a length over fast closing Kalle Ouivivra teamed by Helen A. Johannson. Berlusconi finished third for Olle Goop. Dubois returned to driving in France in May 2013 and has performed with excellence, mostly handling horses he bred and owns. He was a Prix d’Amerique winner with Hymour and multiple classic race winner in France, Italy, Sweden , Canada and the U.S (principally as breeder/owner). His most recent Prix d’Amerique appearance ended in a third place finish with Qualita Bourbon. The large Solvalla crowd was treated to an exciting race carried out by the true legends of the trotting sport. Berndt Lindstedt (Dart Hanover and Pershing fame), Helen A.
